LO's 2013 CBS WRX Build
Hey everyone! I've just recently picked up my 2013 Crystal Black Silica WRX. I'm completely in love with it!! I'm not new to subarus by any means but this is my first brand new car!
As a little background about me, I first owned a 2006 Subaru WRX which I had for a couple years then just upgraded to a 2011 WRX (Ebony) earlier this month which I fell absolutely head over heels for! Unfortunately on the way home from the DMV with the car, someone came in my lane and hit me head on. I was knocked unconsious and woke up in the hospital. I suffered a C1 fracture of my vertebrae and was stuck wearing a neckbrace for a few weeks. I made it out okay but Ebony was totaled and the driver who hit me had no insurance. I was fortunate enough to have uninsured driver insurance and got a check for my totaled car. It broke my heart to have the check rather than the car but somethings better than nothing. I finally was able to get my hands on a 2013 Black WRX this past week with the help from the guy who originally sold me the 2011 WRX. I am still recovering from the accident but having another Subaru to drive makes the healing process a lot better. Just purchased some KW V1 Coilovers this past Wednesday and the install will be tomorrow morning with some new shoes!! Can't wait to start my new build!! This was Ebony before the accident: And then after: And the new addition to the family: I'll be keeping everyone updated on the build!

thats quite some unfortunate luck but sounds like your making the best of the hand you've been dealt.
Welcome and good luck on the build. |

Check into the DIY seat bolster mod .. it is so much better.
Don't ever touch the paint ever with anything, it will swirl immediately. I guess you probably know about subaru paint and especially black though.. Mine has been a nice two-toned DGM recently thanks to yet more excessive salt. We get a dusting of snow and there's salt EVERYWHERE |

Maybe its on IWSTI? Its basically disconnecting the lumbar support wires inside the seat. It's accessed from the back. Unzipper the sides, remove the plastic liner and you will see the metal wires. I did that for a bit when I had my 2011, but after a while you'll realize your back kills when you drive a long time. I put it back and only removed it for track days.

Yeah I was. The other side of it is banged up too due to being pushing into a pole as well.

Ive been looking for a set of 522's forever. Everywhere I look though happens to be out of stock! May I ask where you got yours from? Also what size are the tires I like the slight stretch. The Rex is coming along very nicely. Get well!

UPDATE:
Blacked out the headlights, added a CS Type 1 lip to the front, and had some 20% tints installed. Also a little more low =). She's getting there!! A before and after pic of the headlights... that was quite a scary process!! Wanted to add something a little different to get rid of those ugly orange parking lights... may switch to chrome orange bulbs but I'm kinda digging the red. Next to come: Blacking out that ugly chrome trim, and hopefully some engine mods... |

be careful with those red lights, they're usually reserved for emergency vehicles only and it wouldn't be cool if mr officer turns his on to let you know that.

Trying to get some XXR 521s for the car now but can decide which color... Flat black or flat gun metal? Any thoughts?
