Default WRX Top Speed

I did a forum search and all the results were from the 2002-2003 era with a different engine. Google search brought up all STi specs for this stat.

I am curious of the top speed of a 2012 WRX (not STi). I ask because I was talking with some friends who said the top speed of the police dodge challengers is 151mph, and we were curious if it is a faster car. (WRX has a faster 0-60, but that is just one of many factors).

This is all theoretical, but just interesting to know.. I'm not testing this out myself, and have barely gone over 100 in mine a handful of times.

TL;DR: Is there a speed governor at some point? What is the governed speed and the ungoverned top speed? Does the Cobb AP remove the governor?

Why are you basing your comparison to a police charger?

That was the discussion that brought it up? There are a lot of them around here, and basically it makes it the most common competitor in my area where I barely see cars that can actually go 0-60 in under 7 seconds. Im not saying I want to race one, please dont make this more than it is.. a curiosity.

I've been told that the limiter on the lgt and wrx's are the same as the STi. However, I can not confirm this. I've been told this is set at 155. Don't plan to have it up there any time soon

I wouldn't be calling a Police Charger a "competitor."

Your car does have a govenor. What is it? Don't know. Last I knew cobb flashes removed it.

Wants to try to outrun them....

Stock limit I think is high 140s low 150s. I personally got mine up to 162-165mph. If I had more room maybe could have gotten few more mph, but I need a whole lot of room. Aerodynamic limit of the car on stock parts I would say is around 170-175mph. You don't see subaru sedans going 200mph if that is what your looking for regardless of the amount of power it has.

I hear the turbo spools faster and provides MOAR BOOST when you are going 12mph in those zones. It must have a similar feature to the GTR that opens it up when it knows you are near a school.
