Get Tuned: Cobb Tuning Visits Mach V Motorsports
Of course you can get your car tuned at Mach V any time, but we're hosting tuning guru Christian Krahenbuhl on January 25 and 26 for a visit here at Mach V. Christian will be looking over my shoulder during our dyno tuning sessions during those two days. We will be tuning a total of four cars. The cost will be the same as our usual ProTune rates, which is $500, including two+ hours of dyno rental, air/fuel an analysis, custom tuning of your car using the AccessPort, and a data-logged road test afterwards.
I do plan to have at least two of those cars be AP V2.0 tunes, so keep that in mind if you have the older AP -- if I've already got two AP 1.0 tunes when you call, I may ask you to come on another day. Give me a call if you'd like to take advantage of this opportunity. (703) 435-5000. --Dan Mach V FastWRX.com

Hmm. I've been forgetting to update about this. We were full up, but we had one or two cancellations, so I have tuning slots available again. Contact me...

Damn it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wouldn't you know.....I'm pulling in early now. I could have been there this friday to get a tune had I know and could plan this. But as luck would have it....I get screwed again, that and the fact that my heat pump just took a dump so I have to pay OMGBBQ$$$$ to get that fixed. If nothing else, I'll maybe give you a call and interrupt you guys on friday. |

What EMS? I am familiar with several. My focus is the AccessPORT and ProTUNER training, but I will be happy to help Dan with whatever he needs.

Car feels great. Nice to meet you Christian.
Christian was very good at explaining exactly what he did, and why, in a way I could actually understand. Definitely put me more at ease for the next time I'm on the track. Dan was also very imformative and friendly, as usual. I forgot to grab my graphs, but I'm sure Dan can send them to me. |

I enjoyed having Christian there to teach me. We tuned four cars, from nearly-stock to built block/big turbo. I learned some new techniques and a few tips that'll make my tuning more efficient. Christian was helpful and patient. I was happy to find that we agreed on a lot of what we did. (Part of me was a little worried that the Master Tuner would arrive and say, "OMG, what are you DOING??")
We stayed until after 10 pm on Friday night tuning, so it's just as well that I didn't get it together to arrange any kind of get-together for Friday night. --Dan Mach V FastWRX.com |
