Default A sad day in Subaru Land...

https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...1&l=185d6d2f92

A drunk 20 year old dude ran a stop sign and plowed my car. Then attempted (highly unsuccessfully) to flee and ran onto a curb and up a street sign.

Sending it to D&V Autobody at the recommendation of Mach V motorsports.

Hopefully she'll be alright...

()

p.s.- the bright side: kid was arrested and has USAA insurance through mommy and daddy, who should be paying for everything. AND no one was hurt.

p.p.s.- The funny side: the reason I was driving at 12:20am on Monday was for a taco bell run... I didn't even put pants on... So in the cold mists of the wee hours, there I stood in my Bazinga pajama bottoms eating Doritos Locos Tacos waiting for the Emergency Response people.

Last month my bike was stolen, this month my car was murdered, what's next cruel world??? I HAVE GUNS NOW! BRING IT!!!

Sorry to hear that man. D&V took care of my car after my accident. I thought the car was gonna be totalled. But they did a great job and it looked like new. Good luck.

D & V is a great shop. Ironically, if you ever visit them, PM me and we can grab lunch! I work across the street, and I have a funny feeling they might call me for parts for your car

Have you visited there yet? There's a very special Subaru wagon there too.

I feel your pain. Glad you weren't hurt. USAA is good ****. A lady t-boned my '09 on the driver's side and totalled it. Hope they can get yours back up and running. I'm waiting for my '13 to show up so I can finish buying it.

Cool ranch or nacho cheese, and did the drunk dude ask you for any?

Seriously, sorry about the car. Airbags deploy? You sore? Getting a lawyer? Being hit by a drunk driver that is actually insured is a blessing in disguise. I'd at least talk to a lawyer for a consult, especially if you have no other means of transportation.

Cooler ranch, they were.

Lost my appetite, I did.

So I ate one and gave one to to a friendly witness who was standing out in the rain with us. The last one I gave to my roomie.

I AM starting to feel pain in my spine...

Haven't considered a lawyer. I'll have to talk to my dad about talking to his...

You'll want a specialized lawyer for this, but a recommendation is always good in that world. You'll want to be very careful with anything you sign from this point on an as well, you do not want to absolve them of any responsibilities for your injuries.

Judging from the pictures your car is a goner. The frame looks bent which means the insurance will total it out and you'll get a new car!!

Remember, you had receipts for all those used performance parts you bought!

He doesn't actually need receipts. I have USAA and their policy is if a part is permanently installed on the vehicle then they'll cover it regardless of a receipt or not.
