Come At Me Bro!

Thumbs up Juni's CGM WRX build thread

Hey Kids,

Just wanted to create a timeline for my next build. First some background. This is my first Subaru build. I've built a few Hondas, an E36 M3, and a DSM. This is by far my favorite platform based on the fact that I live in New England and this is a much more practical "year round" car and thus I am less limited to the things I can do to it.

I bought this car less than a month ago, she came with a few extras which I got rid of so I can get her the way I want her. Right now she is primed and getting ready for paint. I removed the stock wing, cleared the headlights, installed some HID's, removed the Injen CAI and replaced it with the SPT short ram w/heatshield. I also took some time to install my STi hood scoop and STi splitter.

My mods from today:

So I removed the Injen CAI and installed my SPT intake. Also removed my stock hood scoop and installed my STi hood scoop. I dropped her off at the body shop the fully painted and get some extras put on.

At the body shop they will:

Respray the whole car, fixing whatever dents I may have missed when I primed her.
Install Fog covers
Install STi splitters
Install OEM Side skirt strakes
Install OEM rear spats
Fully shave the holes from the WRX wing
debadge the car

Now some more pics before I dropped her off:

Thats all for now. I will update this when I get her back from the shop.

It's been awhile sinced I updated this. Here were the results from paint:

Since these have been taken. I have removed the strakes and rear spats, and went Stage 2 with a MadDad downpipe, and a Skunk2 Exhaust.

Wow, your car looks a TON better than the last time I saw it! How's my downpipe and clock pod doing?

The downpipe is working out great! I forgot to mention that I also installed a catless uppipe, so now my turbo spools alot faster. I havent installed the pod yet, wainting to get some gauges. I did remove the rear spats and strakes and got some other goodies. I'm going for a different look.

I love the STi scoop. Thinking about doing that on my 04 Wagon.
