Well I would probably jsut go to a yard and get the lights and the harnesess while I was at it. But do the plugs from the 04-05 lights plug right into the 02-03 light harness??

Anyone have an estimated cost on the rad supports, and tie in beam??

Call local Subaru dealership for pricing. The plugs are all different.

Sorry to be such a bother, but i am really considering this right now. Can some one give me a COMPLETE list of the parts I need to complete the swap. As in everything needed for the rad saddle and tie in bars. I understand you need the hood, fenders, bumper, but its the inside stuff I need to know. Thanks for the help.

Read the thread a little better. The only "inside stuff" is the radiator core support and upper tie bar...

both of which can be swapped with a little bit of cutting and welding....if i read correctly. so the only thing other than that is wire the headlights. does anyone have a diagram of how to do that by any chance?

I have been looking into the part costs and it appears that the same rad support bar was used from 02-04 here is a link to my search that gives me this idea.

http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q=...04&btnG=Search

so if they were the same, why would I need to change it. It appears to me that the housing around the headlights needs to be swaped out to get the 04-05 lights to work. And I cant find any prices on the main rad. core support.

They are different because the buckets around the headlights are different. Just go to a Subaru dealership and their parts dept. has a computer program that will click through and show you every part.

I think this would be a great idea. Kinda like the Jetta and GTi front end swaps VW guys do.

It would probably make it a lot easier to take them out
I mean, to do the swap you are talking about cutting your old rad support out and welding in another one. Draining and removing the radiator, and discharging the a/c system is really mi-nute the least of your worries.

AC needs discharged. Radiator holds itself up(with a little propping) and doesn't need removed and drained.

Default What about the side skirts/side rails??

I don't know if side rails is the right name, but I'm talking about the pieces that run along the bottom of the doors and also onto the back of the front fender as well as the front of the back fender. If you swap the whole front end from an 02/03 bugeye to an 05 STi do you also have to swap out the side skirts too or will everything fit without swapping the side rails.
Thanks for the help

it would be sexier with wagon fenders, but then your gonna have to swap to crappy wagon suspension or jdm GC8 sti components. i don't likey the flared fenders, prolly why i got a wagon in the first place, plus more room to haul crap when i need to.

Default WRX wagon fenders

Are you saying that the front fenders on a WRX wagon are different than those on a WRX sedan and if so how are they different?

B/c the sedans have wider fenders arches/ what ever you called them.
Call your local Subaru dealership and tell them to look the parts numbers that are totally different.I know b/c I tryed it already and it doesn't work.
My .2 cents.

So what holds the headlights in? Just the upper radaitor suport or core suport? Or is there actual buckets? Does the 04 hood bolt onto the 02 latches?
