Ive got lots of love for the old s13's tough cars. but i also had a part time nightly/weekend delivery job in the mid atlantic states. i always used my old honda accord. so i would get the honda civic. youll love it when you have to make deliveries in the snow. 240sx are a dime a dozen you can build one later. civic hatch will be a perfect work car. good luck and make that money!

This is actually a question? S13 hatch all the way, keep your driving spirit healthy but don't go around trashing it right away by drifting as you will be replacing parts and welding your diff before you know it.

So many people think the 240 is just for use in dorifto, but entry speed and grip for cheap is where it really shines. If you want to break loose you're just an ebrake or clutch kick away.

Potential for a turbo engine that won't fall to pieces is much higher. Go Honda if you're a completely crap driver though.

Hatch also has tons of space when you drop the rear seats. If you've driven both cars and have any love for driving you already know the answer.

I think that's just how it is. As far as I can tell, it buzzes if 1) the ignition is on and the driver's seatbelt is not connected and 2) the door is ajar and the headlights are on. (The headlights do not turn off automatically in this truck, so that is very nice)

You are looking at this totally wrong. You'll be driving around, throwing crap in your car and leaving it in places with signs that say "if you park here, we'll key your car". Then you'll come out because you parked appropriately and your wheels will all be gone. If you go into Flushing....well....I don't think there's a single business there that doesn't have a little hobby chop shop in the back. Heck....some places are obvious chop shops in the front with little hobby chop shops in the back.

What you want is the least desirable car from a "getting stolen" perspective. With the traffic you're going to have to fight, you want an automatic. Cost and reliability and cheap repairs are key. 90's Chevy Malibu. No, I'm not kidding. You'll get run into and just wave and go on your way. Someone will come up to the new guy delivering parts to key your car and show them who's in charge and they'll look at the car and say "why bother....I might wreck my key on that thing". Get an AARP sticker for the back window and drive irratically.

Daily driver in NYC? Civic. Smaller, better in snow than the 240, cheaper insurance, cheap to fix, comes in a hatchback.

I'm pretty sure you don't want to drift with all the parts that you will be delivering everyday, so just go fast on a straight line and get a civic and you have a better chance on using it as a DD when winter time comes around. K-swap the eg and you will be done delivering parts faster and your boss will be happier!

Having gone from a b20vtec hatch that I kept sleeper and only drove to work and back, then switching to the suby, I am going to advise that if you are looking for a daily to drop off parts you do not get either. The reason I say this is because of theft 1, 2 youare delivering car parts to shops I assume which could end up being chop shops further advertising your hatch or 240. My car was stolen and completely gutted stripped in 24 hours, I had built the engine with my own hands had fully replaced the suspension coils, paint job everything and it was taken from me in 24 hours. So if you are looking for a track car build it strictly for the track at home as a project and use something else as a daily for delivering parts.

It's just local mechanic shops. I was gonna use it just for a beater daily. Single v 5spd Just to get around being that the Wrx is terrible on gas. In the future I was gonna take the shell of either the civic or 240 and turn it into a track car

I would probably go with the civic if it's just going to be a secondary daily driver.

Mod bug hits fast and hits hard driving either of the 2 cars. Local shops are the ones that are typically chop shops also. I found out about a shop in my area that is known for stealing stripping and re selling the parts to customers, and it is a well known shop in my area. I was actually shocked because I would have never thought they needed to do that kind of thing. If anything you could go with a Crv they can be done nice and left looking sleeper the older models come with the b20 engine and you can always throw a b16/type r or gsr head on to it and make it a little quicker. Also trunk space.
