5th gear short shift knock
Not trying to beat a dead horse talking about knock here but i had 2 very high knock readings in the past few days under similar conditions and just wanted to get some thoughts on them.
Both happened in slowish moving highway traffic when I would short shift into 5th at between 50-60mph. I looked down at my accesport monitoring "Feedback knock" and had peak readings of -8.4 and -7 at around 1900-2300rpm heading at maybe a slight uphill with the car lugging under a bit of a load but very light throttle position. i know it would be ideal to show log data and maybe this info is useless without it but not being able to consistently recreate the situation on demand is difficult. i have had a 3rd gear WOT pull log get checked out and everything looks good. I will log another WOT pull in 3rd and 4th this week to try and provide more info. the car is a 2012 wrx with stage 2 cobb tune, AEM cold air, Cobb BPV and Cobb down pipe. |
