Hey ty, I believe that they are doing it on the lower traffic-volume Saterday, rather than on Friday.

Alright i-Clubbers, here is the deal. We are making some major upgrades this Saturday to the server itself and the forum software. The forum software will be changing to vBulletin. Good news is we will have almost all of the old features back from the forums before the last upgrade. Bad news, all existing PMs are going to be gone
There's your answer---Saturday

I vote that part of the server upgrade should be another 1/2 gig of memory

Are you providing said stick of 521MB? Because if you provide it, Nick will install it . The server is getting a hardware performance upgrade, so things will run a bit faster when it's done.

The site is going down 12 midnight PST (3am my time) Saturday morning...

The upgrade will take however long it takes will be until it's back up. I'm guesstimating that from time time I start it should take about 8 hours, worst case senario.

But don't even really plan on getting back into the forums until Sunday or at the very earliest late Saturday night.

Nick, make sure you have a search option in there with PMs, because if U don't I'm gonna have to post a message in every damn forum asking about it, then I will complain that its not fast enough for me, and I dont like who it looks. Good luck with the migration...hope it goes well
Keith

Damn Nick, you are going to be up at 3am on a Friday, and be sober enough to do this, to boot? Thanks!

Everybody, I think Nick deserves a huge thanks for staying up all night on a Friday night/Saturday morning, just for the board.

nope, I'd rather flame him because the post new topic button is to the left .002 of an inch, and I liked it better the other way!
Thanks Nick!

I think we shall all send Nick some money, so the locals there can take him out for a good drinking saturday night!

Something to make him forget this incredibly frustrating past few weeks.
And to show our thanks.

Or maybe I'll just pour one out on the floor of the bar for you?

Nick, could you also try to include the previous feature of the Vehicle description under the user name and the # of posts?
You deserve an award for keeping track of this server! Thank you this board has made my life complete.

Talking

I really like the idea of sending Nick some cash-ola just out of appreciation. Who else is liking this idea? Then he can either split it with Alex or use it for the board or whatever the hell he wants to do with it... Who's with me?
