I finally took off the silver front fairing guard. It looks much better now, I cannot wait to get that black sport grill. Then I need to figure out the backend. I guess I can paint that chrome piece between the rear tails. Not sure about the silver bumper guard thing.
Also fixed a buzzing passenger door. If I put on music with to much bass the passenger door would buzz...very annoying. I found that the plastic door panel was vibrating against a plastic white box inside the door. I place two small pieces of velcro(soft side) in between the box and the door panel... fixed...now bring on the techno. |

Thanks for clearing that up - the darker interior is pretty much the reason why I got my '08 in the obsidian black.
I'm curious - do you all think that there will be less paint chipping by them switching the door handles? I purchased my rally armor flaps a few weeks back in hopes that it will help slow down the amount of chipping on the side! |

Installed the new SPT exhaust yesterday! Love the sound and feel!
I used some Yamaha Instant Detail spray to clean and polish it. Less than an hour to get the old one off and new one on. It's a helluva lot lighter than stock. I'll post some pics when I get around to taking them. |

Did you have any trouble since the spt exhaust was made for the turbo model?
Unfortunately I just realized that since the silver obs is steel silver that I could not get a sport grille. So it looks like if I get an obs it would have to be an OBS |

I dont know how a rear diffuser would look because of the two tone, not sure if having black body, then a lighter lower body, then going back to the darker black diffuser would look, same for the front lip. I would first get a sport grille before anything. I personally like the 09 wrx grille better then the sport grille. Any idea whether you can take off the wrx emblem on the 09 wrx stock grille? I would also get the chrome rear insert done along with the sti spoiler as well before any front lip/rear diffuser. At least with those you can get a perfect match whereas doing lower body work might not look good because of the lighter color on the lower body.

Yes you can buy the rear insert unpainted or painted, forunately for you you got the one OBS color that is also offered with the wrx/sti, so there will be a match. That also goes for the sport grille and the sti spoiler.

I will take your word for it, I thought I didnt see steel silver listed. I know they dont have the rear chrome piece in steel silver.
This is a good time to ask: for some reason I cannot access subarugenuineparts on firefox or explorer when at home but when I am out using the wireless and another network, it always works. Any ideas? |

Sounds like a DNS issue with your provider. Did you have your provider reset your modem? I know Comcast has this issue onceina while.

By just using the IP address your browser does not need to hit the DNS server. You probably need to delete your temp internet files too.
I think I'm gonna try and order that grill and insert online..will put up pics once installed. On a side not...I took my car for some off road adventure and I am very impressed!!! |
