Yesterday on Dale Blvd in Dale city, honked and waved at a black '05ish STI that was turning onto Hillendale by the fire station.

Today, pulled into Sheetz on Hillendale and the PW Parkway next to an '05ish WRB WRX with a couple yellow subaru stickers here and there. it was on some black rims. said what's up to the dude driving it.

Today again, turned left from the PW Parkway onto Minnieville headed towards Dale City and rode with another '05ish WRB WRX with blue wheels, exhaust, and a stock WRX wing. Threw up the deuces when I passed.

There are also two scoobies that live on my street. A white STI that you can see just off of Dale Blvd pretty much all the time, then a black '05 wrx with BBS goldies that is backed into the driveway and seems to never move...

Good to see so many other Scoobies running around my neighborhood!

There is someone rolling around in a white Hawkeye STi (no it's not noelalicious) that has been refferrenced 3 times in the last month that has been seen rolling around here doing well over 100mph no idea who they are, and I do not think they are on NASIOC. I spotted this individual on 64E racing with 2 other cars recently near Indian River Rd. We're either going to read about them being caught or wrapped around a light pole soon.

Saw three cars pulled over on 64W between Indian River and the 264 Interchange. Silver RX8, Green 2.5RS bugeye wagon, and a silver Neon. Didn't look to be any damage to anyone but I believe there were two state patrol cars and a road maintenance vehicle.

Spotted a red hawkeye WRX with a carbon scoop less hood and a carbon trunk, was lowered, had flaps and exhaust, plate read "1SICWRX". First saw you on Baxter, then was behind you a few cars as we got on to 264W. I was in the forester, this was around 6:10pm tonight.

saw some guys last night at my apartment complex in a silver bugeye (03) with the hood popped and tools everywhere. went over to see what they were doing, and asked about the car and whatnot.

turns out it had front end damage, where they took an 01 outback front frame (the front bumper area), with a different front bumper, etc etc... and put it all together (yay fitment issues!). it was running after quite a bit of work done to the engine just to return it to stock, and the guy says "yeah the guys at ptuning said i dont need any aftermarket parts to get 300 hp out of it"

<--my face

using what i had experienced and what knowledge i had on the subject of subarus... tried to explain some things to him as far as what capabilities a stock 2.0L might have, and how there are pressure ratings for connecting rods and ratings for crankshafts, and how that extra power would be transferred through the stock drivetrain and might hurt it.

he continues to say he wants at least 400 whp, and JDM this and that, with european styled wheels/tires, and i forget the rest.

"good luck with that dude, do your research"

speaking of Ptuning, i wanted to try them out so i took my KONI yellows to be installed by them and get an allignment done. only took 1 day so I was impressed with the turn around, but when i showed up my WRX had the Rake of an old muscle car. They put the mount for the bottem of the spring on upside down!! I knew what it was right away and when i voiced my concern they said no there is only one way it goes on. After some talking a worker goes outside to smoke a cig and when he comes back in he says know what your right......

Would think a shop would know how to put a strut together, let alone let them drive off with a car that is possibly unsafe. Also the kid that works the front desk is ZERO help at all, everytime i was in there i felt like i was getting rushed out and pushed out the door. I was hoping to find a new shop besides Mach V (just for other options) but forget that

(Rant Over)

I had ptuning put four tires on my car a few months back, they told me over the phone it would take less than an hour so I set an appointment for 9am and went there with my two year old. We ended up sitting there for three hours waiting and then I was told that two of my rims are bent.

Long story short I have my rims insured separately from my car so I went through the process of claiming it, only to find out when I went to a different shop to have them checked out that ptuning had balanced all four of my rims wrong and had put substantially more weight than required on each wheel. They also called my wheels "Rota Forms" on their Facebook page. Fail.

yikes dude, i didnt know they were THAT bad. i hooked one of the guys up with a stock intake and thought they were "ok", and considered getting some work done there... but now im not so sure. has anyone had a positive interaction with PTuning? terribly off-topic, i know -and i apologize, but holy crap these are like the most rookie of mistakes.

I think the last time I was there for work it took about 3 hours to get 2 tires mounted and balanced and 2 wheel alignment. This was with a scheduled appointment, but I guess showing up for work on time doesn't apply to some of the staff.

I met a dude with a SWP 2011 STI hatch at All Aspects last year. He told me he was getting his engine built and was going to slap on a huge turbo and get it tuned at P Tuning.

P Tuning blew up his new engine with their tune.

I have had them do any work to my car that I could not do myself, and have yet to have a bad interaction with them. I will say, however, that there only two people there that I will talk to about my car because I know that they know what they are talking about. Not going to put their names on here but you can PM me if you want.

Also, they are the only place I have used so far. That said, maybe I am rubbing sticks together for fire and have yet to try a lighter.

ON TOPIC…
Spotted two Subies yesterday on my way home from work.

First was a blob eye, white, gold wheels. We both waved after we passed each other.

Second was about a quarter mile after in the same neighborhood. Blurple new sedan. I waved, you waved.

I got an allignment done on my TSX about 4 months ago and everything went well, I will say though that their customer service isn't the best because I stood in their lobby for about 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged me and came out to try and help me.

On topic:
Spotted an 08+ WRX with HID's on route 7 by Tysons Corner Mall yesterday around 830am, I was in the LR WRX, I waved but I don't think you saw me
