Your NASIOC Administrator Zero to 100% operational in .5 seconds

I find the best way to do this is to roll over in bed and look at the clock, and realize that you should've been at work a half hour ago.

I hate that feeling. I think that might be the worst way to start a day, unless you have a bunch of sick days left.

The only thing that makes this acceptable is if you won a big online poker tournament and were up till 5am because of it.

There is a worse feeling. Hearing the duty pager go off and telling yourself you want to lie in bed a couple of minutes before getting up. Next thing you wake up and an hour has passed. I've only done it once. Now every time if that damn thing goes off I will roll myself out of bed and hit the floor if I have to.

i know the feeling...

at my second-to-last job, i would leave my apartment at 6:40am to get to the office at 8:30. i was usually up at 5:15am in order to go running before getting ready for work. one morning, i rolled over and saw the clock said 6:27. I literally, jumped out of the bed, ran into the shower (not even sure if i got wet), brushed my teeth, put my suit on, got out the door at 6:42am and STILL made my 6:51-ish train! my heart was racing the entire time.

that really is one of the scariest feelings in the world.

I still got here before my boss, so for all she knows, I was here working diligently all morning.

Bah, it's not like I punch a clock, I can pretty much flex my hours whenever I need to. It was just amusing.

Neek, it was indeed raining. ****ing rain!

So true!

I got up a 8:26a today. I have to be in Downtown Durham at 9a.

Hair went into a ponytail and on went my jeans and a Red Wings jersey.

Now, I've had 3 people ask me "Big game tonight?"

This happened to me 19 years ago in college where I missed half of one of my critical finals b/c of hitting the cancel instead of the snooze button. To this day I still have nightmares about running through campus that morning.

I had a big final at 8 AM so the alarm clock goes off and I didn't get up right away, because it takes me a minute to realize the music is in my dream. My brother came in and shut the alarm off. I woke up 40 minutes later and campus is 30 minutes away. I rushed to school, got pulled over by a Statie doing 92 in a 65. I told him I was late for a really big final... his response "Well sit tight, doesn't look like you'll be making that final today."

Thankfully, I told them I was coming from another final that was at the same time and they let me take the final in the seperate conflict room. I was pissed at my brother for a quite a while.

3rd day of work (first ever job out of college). Not sure what happened, just didn't wake up. At this point i had no car, no cellphone. My colleague who was sposed to collect me left after waiting 5 minutes.

I had no way of calling into work or getting to work even. that was quite embarassing...
