I got a quote from a Dealer in Denver at 29,5ish out the door for a Base modle hatch with very few upgrades. They want to charge me like 300 bucks or something for some special window coating. Sounds like bull to me or is this normal?

Eh I'll bet it shows before then. There's bound to be plenty of bases coming in, and the bulk of the "day of" orders should be filled by the end of October (minus the Nav folks, sorry).

I just passed up overtime saying, "Nope! My WRX is coming today!"... I hope that I don't end up eating my own words...

That's a high price and if the window thing you're talking about is "VIN etching" serial numbers into the glass you do not have to accept that if you don't want

Its like a protectant that repels water and dirt. Kind of weird. But high? I mean msrp is 25,500 and I have maybe 500 is accessories and 770 for delivery. The subaru site is telling me price is at 27400 with what I want please taxes and dealer fees I thought 29500 was right on? Should I argue that more?

Sounds like BS they're trying to shove onto you so they make more money. You know what else repels water? Windshield wipers.

Make sure you get them to put down in writing your OTD price and make sure they don't tack on random fake BS.

Silly question but its better to be informed what is the OTD PRice. What is that refering to?

Exactly what it sounds like, the price you're paying out the door, or the final total price of the vehicle (usually cost of car + accessories + dealer fees + tax).

Further, there's MSRP and Invoice where Invoice is generally a lower amount and is what you should aim for when haggling on the price of the car.

I just suck at talking them down. No one takes me serious because Im only 24 but look 16 =P I havent commited to anything yet because I am going to have to sell my car on my own before I can even order one. So I have time but I want to get what I want but I want a good deal. Anyone know any dealerships in Denver that are good to work with?

I think it's been mentioned a few times before on here, but you should email a bunch of dealers telling them what you're looking for and ask them for a quote. Make sure you mention that you will be emailing a few dealers and that you're looking for a competitive price. Once you start getting some good quotes you can see if the other dealers will match or beat the quote. I got a quote of invoice right off the bat from one dealer, and another offered me $500 below invoice all without leaving my computer or even picking up a phone!

I've had a great experience so far at Subaru Loveland. My salesman got me invoice easily and good value on my trade-in, he's great to deal with and very straightforward.

You're a good guy. If I'm anywhere near Chicago next time I'm in the market for a car I'm buying it from you.

I had a great experience at Dellenbach Subaru! I bought my Cobalt SS/SC from Chevy Dellenbach back in 2006. Highly recommend them!!!

They told me I would have a VIN sometime this week and ETA is mid-November.

Navi seems DO affect ETA. Anyway stick to original ETA Oct 15, shouldn't later than that. However Audi got sold today with a highballer, strange but it's real.

Good luck to all the truck drivers!

I know the Dellenbach's through a friend and I am told they are great peoples.

Don't think I was trying to take business away with my posts. If you're in northern CO or southern WY that is the place to go!!!

Just offering a closer alternative for Denverish peoples.
