Default Car pulling in Third. High Speed wobbles. Please Help

I replaced the bearings in my LR tire about three months ago the tech said he will probably need to replace the hub but didnt. I have no idea what is going on but in third the the car seems to pull to the left and gets wobbly then when i shift it straightens back out. Also at high speeds, especially when turning right i would say above seventy the car seems very unstable and moves around alot. Its a 2002 2.5rs. Please if anyone knows whats going on, i figure maybe an engine or tranny mount, or something to do with the wheel. Thanks

try asking in the suspension forum. they could probably give you a couple things to look at to start.

It's kinda weird that it's only happening in the 3rd.

When was the last time the wheels were balanced and your alignment was done? I would check your axel nut too and make sure it's still in place. Also, get all of the wheels off the ground and see if they have any play.

i doubt its a transmission related problem, i think it has to do with the suspension/alignment @ speeds that occur in 3rd gear during typical acceleration, or possibly something to do with the drivetrain on the output side of the trans or after.

When I bought my 98 it did the same thing. I didnt address for about a year(4 seasons in the North East). In dry conditions it did exactly what you said, in wet or icy/snowy conditions it was absolutley DIABOLICAL!!!

Long story short....right rear was out of alignment--too much toe-in, it effected accelleration, braking and turning, especially in slippy conditions.
It became a whole new and stable car after that was sorted!!!
