The Utek is a better choice never been a fan of Cobb and the ap. Don't know on the older cars but the 06-07 work very well with open source.

Now everyone has their own opinion on what to do and what is the best place to start and what their tuners recommend. Best advice is save some more money, search the faqs and stickys on each forum you ate interested in and go from there.
I have gone by what has worked best for me. There are pleanty of things i have done for the money you have but they work in conjunction with other things. If you want a list pm me.
In the end pick where you want to start and go from there

to be honest with you coilovers are only good if you spend a lot of money and its a dedicated track car. They require more maintence and can be a pain to setup.
for a street car even on a car that will see track use Tokico D-specs with RCE or yellow springs.

but again that would be down the road

Agreed. So just a good strut/spring set-up down the road?

Absolutely ,Tokico D-specs are the best around right now strut wise. Springs all depend on what you want to achieve. Sti pinks are nice for dd but are too soft for some. RCE blacks then RCE yellows are the stiffest and drop a little lower

That depends on the Pinks. There are 5 completely different sets of "STI Pinks". One of which I have on my car.

I'd really like to have the car sitting justtt right on a good set of Rotas. So a decent drop all around. And as long as I can get over speedbumps now and then.

EDIT: Just heard from my coworker with the APS exhaust. Wouldn't you know it, he's asking $250 for the whole TBE, and also a catted DP (along with the catless one). Has about 10k on it, and he said I'll need to get hangers. AND it's the traditional straight tip exhaust, not the JDM angled version (I can't stand the angled tip.)

EDIT #2: Rallysportdirect has this exhaust listed for $895 on their site. Thinking it was a mistake, I checked another. Vividracing has it for over $1,149.99.
God I hope it's not stolen.

Looks like my question has been answered.

Picking up the APS exhaust on friday for $250. It's coming with a catted AND catless downpipe, the catted being brand spankin' new if he's telling the truth. Any takers?
