Just checked the Perrin website...

Looks like the hardware DOES justify the $200 price difference

I'm rockin a Base 5-door... pretty sure theres not a sway under there. The mounting bracket and place where it should be is there...

Anyone try this on their 2012 Impreza yet? Seems like a very complete (and expensive) kit vs. the STI bar...
http://www.perrinperformance.com/sub...r-psp-sus-2xx1

Edited to add, I'm considering their 22mm bar

I believe that kit is only required for folks with the base-model Impreza. If you have a Sport Premium or Sport Limited, then you already have a rear anti-sway bar, and so you can choose the bar that doesn't come with the extra hardware that you already have securing your factory bar.

There was a discussion about that same rear sway earlier on this thread, I am saving up for the package...pretty expensive but totally worth it. My base '12 floats and rolls way too much for my liking.

Since there aren't many go-fast parts for our car (yet), my focus is handling. Besides a rear sway and front strut, any suggestions guys?

Even us guys with go-fast cars will tell you that in the end improving handling should be priority #1. Sways, maybe bracing, wider wheels, but not too heavy, and suspension struts or coilovers, just to start off. Then you have endlinks and such, the small, but still important stuff.

If I had a 2012 I'd do cosmetic changes first, then everything I could to make it handle in a sporty fashion, sacrificing mileage along the way for the sake of fun.

Man, that actually sounds like a lot of fun...

I'm looking into the perrin rear sway package and cusco front strut tower bar. I want to be able to throw it into corners at crazy speeds.....legally, of course......

I'm taking mine in a similar direction as you would want As of right now, I have '11 STI rims/tires (17x8 235/40/17...I'm guessing on tire specs) on my white '12. I'm getting red rally armor mudflaps and 15% tints all around, save the windshield.

I'll upload some new pictures tomorrow, I have them installed in car now.
Looks amazing, I would love to do this sort of retrofit except I am kinda scared to open up brand new headlights to do any sort of tinkering. But it looks amazing good job.

Haha thank you sir. The sway and front strut won't be bought/installed until November or December (damn college budget) but the tint and mudflaps will be done by the end of the summer.

Definitely post pics I'm considering the rally armor flaps on my white sport model.

Considering the sway bar / strut braces as my first mod.

Do you guys think going 22mm bar would upset the balance of the car vs a 19mm sti rear bar (for a more balanced approach)?

The stiffer the rear the less understeer you'll have.

19mm would be the best with stock suspension, if you get a 22mm you should swap out and upgrade your suspension.

True, but then you're more likely to go into an oversteer condition instead, right?

Does anyone know how to replace the fog light bulbs? The manual says to have the dealership do it instead of giving useful directions.
