Default Smog/Reseting ECU question

Greetings. I have a 2001 impreza 2.5 rs 5 speed, and two of my modifications have been a lightweight crank pulley and a lightweight flywheel. Although for about a year they never threw a misfire code, it seems that they have been recently. I have been planning on selling my car, so the other day I cleared my misfire code and went to smog it. It passed every test perfectly, visual, emissions, ect but I failed because of a "CEL/MIL" error and it elaborated by saying "this vehicle failed the MIL/Check Engine Light Test due to failure to successfully complete all OBD self tests. My understanding is that because the code had been cleared so near to the smog, that maybe it hasnt gone though enough cycles to have performed these tests. Since then I have driven 115 miles with no misfire codes being thrown, is that long enough that the ECU can go trough its two cycles? How many miles/how much time does it take for an ecu to finish its tests? Thanks in advance for your help.

Well,
That's the right way to clear it. Sounds like you had a stored pending CEL...

I see, when would that become aparent in the form of a check engine light? Isnt over 100 miles enough? I need to get the car smogged today, any advice on how I would go about doing this? Thanks again.

Might have another pending cel? Something might be wrong with your car that's not the pulleys... and did your dealer charge you? Go to Autozone or something... they pull codes for free.
