Haha, you and I may be the only ones. Also, has anyone ever installed a lightweight crank pulley? I'm thinking about ordering one and am seeing if anyone may be able to give me a hand with the install.

I'd be down to help but if I remember correctly, the 08+ WRX/STI had the self tightening power steering belt so you'll need a special tool in order to reinstall it.

OUCH! Just for the install of a crank pulley? The removal of the crank pulley isn't too hard if you have someone helping you. Gates sells the tool for like $25 to reinstall the belt.

What kind of work are you trying to get done? Get with Abel (service advisor) at the Subaru dealership, he'll hook you up.

I have a lightened crank pulley. It takes all of 25min to do. No special tools needed. $280 is ridiculous

What kind of performance parts? Lots of members on here and EPAWD would happily give you a hand with the install.

e85 is scarce in el paso if its not a daily go for it but it will be a pain trying to fill it weekly with practically 1 pump in the east side

Is a lightened flywheel a similar upgrade to a lightened crank pulley?

rev a bit quicker and receive a bit of tq due to lightened rotational mass

No. One turns your belts, the other mates to the engine/tranny

Has anyone gone to a local shop to have custom exhaust work done? I'm looking to get a custom midpipe made in the interest of increased exhaust volume rather than power. I tried reaching out to Abel on facebook, but he hasn't responded

Never had experience but Al's Performance Exhaust on Doniphan sounds like a place you can start at.
