Default Drive Train?

I hope this is the right forum for this. I have a 05 RS, and when I back up sometimes with the wheel turned all the way left or right, I will sometimes hear an odd rumbling/gridning sounds, more rumble though. any ideas what my car is doing?

I dunno man, check to see if your fender liner is rubbing on the tire?

Also if you crank the wheel all the way and hold it, sometimes you can hear your Power steering pump, pleading with you to STOP!

Bad wheel bearing, perhaps.

Any noises at other times?

Sounds like it's brand new. If it's a wheel bearing, I think he would hear it at all times. right?

edit: duh, that's what you just said. Nevermind.

Don't hold your steering at full lock. If you need to turn the wheel all the way, go ahead and do it. Then back it off a couple degrees. You may find that it makes alot less noise that way.
