From this thread it doesn't look like there will be much of a turn out, does anyone know if there is a larger response on some of the other boards?

i wish you guys nothing but luck. when i tried to do something similar (on a smaller scale because i wanted to gauge parking before going full scale. RC and i discussed this meet way back at the beginning of the summer) it was a total failure because the streets had already filled. however...getting that at 6 will help with that.

Don't people park on Newbury street overnight when they're sleeping? What makes you think getting there early will help? This isn't exactly an empty office parking lot where everyone has left for work - this is in the middle of a city where people live.

If more people post up and decide to go, I may give in and check it out for myself.

I don't expect the street to be completely empty, but I live a block off of Newbury and it gets pretty bare late at night. Most of Newbury isn't residential parking, it's metered 2 hour that's free on Sundays.

Forester or Triumph. That's the real question.

The Triumph is far less embarrassing these days.

Put a Subaru badge on it.

And then enter it in car shows as "Custom Subaru" and whine when you dont win the prize because youre the only one in your class, so technically you won.

IMPORTANT: There's an overwhelming 100+ RSVP's for Sunday in Boston, so I should throw out this disclaimer: You aren't guaranteed a space. Newbury is a really small, very busy, and very public street. It is the shopping center of BOSTON and people DO leave their cars there on Sundays. Parking in Boston can be the worst experience ever. Don't say you weren't warned!!!

Most people just talk with the person. Most people do not print out lists of the mods on their cars.

I will be there with my heavily modified Forester and pit bull.

List of mods on the Forester:
Dinged front fender.
Dinged front bumper.
Yakima Roof-rack
Dog hair interior
Cancer ridden wheels
Ultra mediocre performance All Season tires
High performance free flow exhaust with custom clamps
Rust colored and textured tow-hitch that isn't coming out without the "help" of a torch (because it's that strong)
"Custom" paint job on all surfaces.

And that's just to name a few!

See you all in 6 hours... god damnit. that's only 6 hours from now.
