Cobb AP cable = Tactrix Cable?
May be a silly question... but could a Cobb V.2 AP cable be used for OpenSource - just like a Tactrix cable?
Thanks in advance...

I don't think that would work. (Never used "Opensource")

No. It won't work.
The Cobb cables can't flash an ecu without the control unit. The APV1 cable works fine with opensource loggers as long as you have a USB->Serial converter that works properly. The APV2 cable works only with Cobb's modified ecuexplorer opensource logger because there isn't a USB driver for it. |

The cobb AP cable needs different drivers that the tactrix and since no one has written and OS AP driver, it's a no go
The only thing you can do with the Ap cable is log...but that even requires a little hack |

Agreed. Stealing bad.
You could STUDY the map, though, create a similar one in open source, then tweak it for your car. Or, go the easy route, and ask someone for a baseline map, then tweak from there. Careful with that anti-lag, though! It can easily go from "FTW!" to "WTF!?" in a few short seconds. sotc |
