Went into eastern boarder today to buy a new set of laces for my boots. Walked out with a new board haha. I've been eyeing this board for a while and I got them to match the best price I was finding online.

It's a lib tech skunk ape (felt weird to go with this brand as I've always ridden burton/ride boards). Tried it out at wawa tonight. Best board I've ever ridden hands down. The camber/rocker setup on this board is phenomenal. Really digs into tight turns and the transition is real smooth. It's also much more stable at high speeds. It's worlds ahead of the ride fleet wood that I've been riding for the last 8 years.

Conditions were awesome at wachusett tonight. They got 12 inches yesterday. First time I've been to this mountain in 5 years and its only 15 minutes from my house. Place was empty after 9. We were riding right onto the lift without unstrapping.

I hope to hit a couple more night sessions at wawa before the season ends. My uncle has a season pass and it allows you to bring friends/family for 24 bucks each.

I'm bummed the season is coming to an end. Wish I had this board all year. On the bright side it's almost time to bring out the bike!

Just purchased some tickets to Stratton for $29 each for Tuesday. Hard to pass up a deal like that.

Have you ever been? It's nickname is flatton for a good reason. Prepare to be disappointed if you are an experienced rider. I learned the hard way earlier this season lol.

Some decent glades though if you are into that.

My usual midweek day trip destination is Sunapee, so I think I'll manage.

I've been riding an older skunk ape for the last few years. i love it. it's a little stiff and it's super fast... great in pow and even better on ice.

Lighten up. I don't chose Stratton over the better mountains that surround it, but it is a great place for groomers, consistent conditions and outrageous uphill capacity. Some people like a bling resort, I'd rather go to Magic.

For a $300 unlimited pass for those 30- under?

Yah it's an awesome place to be. Why would somebody else's attire affect your skiing?

Had a great day skiing Attitash and Bear Peak with my 5th grade students. Spring weather but mid-season conditions. The glades were awesome.

My buddy's brother owns Magic. They are usually closed midweek, BUT opened for pow-day this week

I love the mountain. Unfortunately, the only weekend we can stay there is in December and the past two years have been terrible.

I was there a couple weeks ago during the hot weather, got real mealy. Did see an older STi Sedan wrb with a light bar and rally graphics in the lot.

Don't have my rex yet (on order), but I'll probably be there next year since Whaleback's shutting down :-(

I might be jumping on that Mount Snow pass for next year. That's so cheap.

I was at Sunapee 2 weeks ago in my white bugeye wagon.

Well, everybody can have an opinion. I don't enter terrain parks.

Terrain parks are fun for a couple runs, but IMO they get old pretty fast if that's all you do all day. Mixing it up with some freeskiing keeps it interesting, especially if you seek out varied terrain. Having knees that have skied for 40+ years, one of which is surgically repaired and feeling gimpy, also limits my time in terrain parks.

Talked to some people who skied Bretton Woods today. They said it was dumping pretty good. This photo from their webpage confirms it:

Had a pretty bad knee injury almost two weeks ago in the terrain park at Sunapee. Wish I could do some spring riding, but I'm out for the season. Thank god for helmets and goggles to protect your face, almost lost some teeth that day!
