Yes sir I do. He unfortunately is the only common denominator in both of these motor failures. Both gone due to detonation? HMMMMMM...

what was the A/F ratio set at?
Thats a shame man, I was about to buy a cable and let them tune me soon also since I thought the first motor was a freak accident. BUT after seeing both of your motors go I'm just going to save up and probably go to DPS. O and is your 16g done?, if not is it up for sale......I had to ask Last edited by SlverEJ20; 11-18-2009 at 11:17 AM. |

Are you going to have the combustion chambers in the head modified to improve power and reliability?
People try arguing with us all the time about how much better it is to fix the combustion chamber on hybrid builds. Well we proved it. 40whp more on pump gas than the previous tune on meth/water injection. Please, do the work. Not doing it is what causes so many hybrids to fail. Even an awesome tune can't overcome the poor mechanics of the 2L chamber on a 2.5L bore. |

Maybe I need to get on the horn with IAG before they assemble the heads. I had asked when I was there yesterday if it was necessary to P&P and "fix" the chamber but we didn't talk too much about it.. so, I guess the ball is in their court.

"not getting your 2.0 heads matched to the bigger bore. leaves i believe a tiny lip hangin over into the combustion chamber. which then creates uneven detonation aka dead spot on your piston. also when combusting instead of it being dead center of the piston it will vary anywhere on the face of your piston"
so i was told by someone. |
