Default Replacing airbag OE seats - airbag light on?

Hello guys,
I am thinking of replacing the seats in my 2007 WRX wagon with some Recaros. The problem is that the original seats have got side airbags so I am wondering whether replacing them with non-airbag ones will cause the LED on the dashboard to stay on?
What have you guys done?
Thanks a lot for your help,
Fivos

The airbag light will come on if you replace the seats. There are a number of threads on the issue (search and you'll find everything you need). On my 04 it was easy to turn off the light, but your car has seat position sensors and the passenger seat has a weight sensor.

if you get a 3.3ohm resistor it will go away.

Shame on you guys, I would expect more accurate answers from "Gurus".

Unfortunately, resistors alone will not fix this issue. As MD04WRX mentioned, you will need to swap over the passenger side "passenger detection bladder" and the driver side "seat position sensor". This applys to 06/07 WRX/STi owners. Here is a tutorial I made on the bladder swap.

06/07 passenger detection system swap
