Default 2 piston brembo question

My calipers were split to be powder coated, and I got them back still split. I hear the torque specs for the fronts are 65 ft/lb for the 4 splitting bolts. What is the torque for the rear Allen bolts? There are 4 bolts on the rear 2 piston that's are hex type. There sti calipers btw

Why did you split them to be powdercoated? It is very easy to permanently damage them once split...

I would probably never go there again. There is soooo much that can go wrong by doing what he did.....make 100% sure they actually hold pressure once you get them on the car.

Where did you get that torque spec? All the research I've done has lead to "no published torque spec". Furthermore, I highly doubt the torque spec on a M8 bolt into aluminum is 85ft/lbs.

All the sets I've reassembled after powder coat I've just tightened them by feel. If you want a torque spec, look up bolt charts, educate yourself based on the hardware specs and decide for yourself.

I've split dozens of sets. As long as you're not stupid there isn't much that will go wrong. Replace the cross seal.

I think i confused the bracket torque with the halves.

OP does seem correct though, according to the porsche forums those guys are saying 62-65ft lbs.

i edited my original post.

85 ft/lbs is too high for the M8 bolt into the aluminum bracket in the rear. The FRONT M10 caliper bracket bolt is 85 ft/lbs.

Here's food for thought for the caliper half bolts that I just realized:

The caliper half bolts are the same size and thread, threading into the same material as the bracket bolt. Make what you will of that information
