No. Just no. Nobody help him. He got a bunch of answers and then didn't act on it for a year. Let him figure it out himself.

Or you could buy the parts yourself and do them yourself. Crazy easy (except for the possibility of stripping the bolt).
Or buy the parts yourself and go literally anywhere.
Vinnie's Autosport over at Lechmere.
Since time is obviously not of the essence, maybe head on over to Perrin's shop. They have a great set up there and I'm sure could take care of you.

Sorry guys, my car is over ten years old and has under 40K miles on it, so I don't drive very often. I know my post was a year old, but I've probably only driven 15 times since. Appreciate those who didn't make nasty comments.

You realize why we were being a little mean, right? You asked for help and we gave you a bunch of answers. It's your responsibility to act upon them in a timely fashion. And your responsibility to check the forum that you've requested help in. If you send snail mail to someone and expect snail mail back, do you just not check your mailbox for a year??

If you post on here, plan to respond or at a minimum, check it... weekly? You're an old school guy, you should know how to use the subscribe button.

Kind of like responding to a thread that you rebumped after a month...

Have you gotten your brakes taken care of yet? You could probably have read the entire Subaru Shop Manual on how to do it yourself by now. Reading one page per day.

You should just give the dealer the $2200 or so it costs for front and rears on an sti. Nothing beats oem spec.

I can't quite figure out how someone who has been here since 2001 can't do his/her own brake work or simply drive their car to a shop that can.

Ah, the olden days. When my wife hit the garage door opener to get my attention and dropped the door on the back of Raj's wagon.

I met Redrum at Lime Rock once. True story. Or maybe it was REDOBS. Red somebody....
