Just called you, Sai. You available around 10 am on Friday to flash the new stock map? Clint will need to spend some time tuning your car in person since the EJ207 runs a bit different timing map and AVCS setup. I'd recommend installing a Wideband O2 if you really want to dial in a nice tune.

Yes I can tune you but we'll have to meet up for it. For now you should be able to have a lot of fun with the new map. I'll probably come back down in a week or two unless you want to drive up here for a tune.

Chick driver. Waved as I passed =) Pretty sure they'd be on here. Could be wrong though.
sounds like upjeepers car.. he was/is trying to sell it for some time - maybe its a new owner or his lady?

BTW -- filled the tank last night.. I got 14.1 mpg -- I went from getting around 25-26 each and every fill up to this..

Is it just due to the hard pulls, lack of 5th gear in these runs or something else?

thats like.. crazy gas usuage - my car went from being the most economic fuel car to the worst of what we own.

I strongly suggest you get one w/ the gauge so you can keep an eye on it when you drive around. If you don't have a wide band I have to be really conservative on the AFR so you won't make as much power.

Give the car a chance on this next fillup. There's probably still some learning going on for closed loop.

Cody I can do $40 Shipped on the plugs. Otherwise you might want to check with Suba (Chris) since I think she can get them below our cost and she is local to you. You need PN BKR7EIX. LMK if you want to order them through us.

I doubt it. I think she just has a heavy foot. I typically see MPG in the mid 20's on my tunes.

04 model? I must have missed that detail -- I just read CF hood on a red scoob so I just assumed it was Upjeeper..

I dont think the car you described is on here.

I am driving the car 100% the way I did before.. nothing has changed on my end.. I'm not stomping where I didn't before and I havent been wearing "heavier" shoes.

I'll give it this tank and see how it goes.. if its still the same way something has to be wrong

NGK Part # BKR7EIX from my work is $30.88 BEFORE taxes and shipping charges to your house. (box o 4)

After WI taxes and shipping you might be around the same as Clint or slightly cheaper as I can give you a 5% discount code to use.

Oh good point. The price I gave does not include tax.

As for your driving style... that may be the problem. You may need to adjust your driving style to the new map. I haven't seen how you drive though so I can't really say what the deal is, but the fact is I have tuned a dozen cars and you are the only one complaining about MPG so I have to assume it's something you are doing.

I also find it hard to believe your MPG could be worse than before since you were saying how rich it was and how poorly it ran before. Although I suppose it could be something wrong with the car but that seems unlikely.

Not trying to give you a hard time so please don't take it the wrong way just trying to help.

If it doesn't get better and you think there is something wrong I'd ask Franz to ride with you and log your car.

I thought of a tip for you... watch the boost gauge while you are driving. Try to keep it in vacuum at all times. Think of the boost gauge as a sort of fuel usage gauge. If it goes up to 0 or higher than you are going to be using a lot of fuel. The farther it is in vacuum the less fuel you are using.

look on the rim itself for the size of it. i believe 09 wrx's are still 5*100, a safe offset it anywhere from +45 and up (but you can run lower if you like hellaflush). something i cant remember is the size of your hub center, if the 09's are still hub-centric you'll have to be sure the hub bore(?) of the rim is correct. if you search and cant find the hub size lmk and i'll try searching, unless someone else knows.

franz, i think you called me, but up here in eagle heights there is like zero connection so i couldnt even make out what you were trying to say on vm cause it was all choppy. if you are asking about some the white connector to flash or something, i dont have one, i used to but i sent it away when i sold the AP. sorry cant help there, but if it's something else, lmk.

Christina and Clint: maf scaling issues? I will take a look at the fuel trimming to see if the o2 is picking up if the car is rich.

k. I'm still trying to find a white connector so we can flash a map for Sai. We used Clint's last time but I am not the one tuning other people's cars. Otherwise Sai will just have to buy one from Tactrix.

If anyone has their white connector for 03-05 WRX (AccessPort comes with it), please let me know
