Default Tire size ?'s

Ok, stock suspension on an '06 WRX Sedan with '04 STi BBS's, I want to go as wide as I can without having issues with the stock suspension, and I want to get a little bigger diameter too. Any suggestions?

If you stay on your stock suspension you can go wider and larger. The compensation is made up with the rubber. Keep in mind that there is a balance here, if you screw it up your speedometer is off, and I am sure that there are a few other guys that can go into more depth about the other ramifications of not doing it right.

I personally used 255/35-18 tires (falken fk452) on a 18x8.5 rim +35 offset. I believe that my speedometer is off by less than 1% than on the OEM size. I had some rubbing when I put cobb sport springs on the car, but I got that fixed for about 80 bucks. I would imagine I could go to an 18x9 with less offset +40 and still not have any rubbing because I reduced the offset and widened the tire while using the same tire. (I have about 4cm clearance from the strut on the backside.)
