There isnt gunna be much of a difference...Mike Shields at SPD tuning says that they are unessessary and that the strut mounts are so close to the firewall that our cars really dont benefit from them...so if u want one for the looks I would go w/ the STi!

i started a thread like this in the suspension forum. it was sti replicas vs cusco. i wound up going with cusco because im happy with the swaybar i have from them. As of now i have the cusco rear stb on the car and the front stb on order. i am please with the way it feels. cant comment on the sti one although its damn expensive. not that the cuscos are exactly cheap! you will feel a diference in the way the car drives. however it is not as pronounced as the difference one feels when adding a swaybar. both peices you speak of are very high quality in terms of looks and performance. with that said i would save a little bit of money and go with the cusco.
hope this helps

Yup. I agree. With one exception.

If you have a WAGON, the rears are not bolstered with a back seat support like in the sedan. A rear bar on a wagon is a good mod to do... but you lose the 'utility' of the wagon because there's a bar blocking full access when the rear seats are down.

So are there any "removable" type of bars or is that not just possible in what my right mind just said?

Sure you can remove them... just 6 bolts... and MUCH easier to do than the Sedan due to the fact you dont have the confined space of the sedan to work with, and you don't have to remove the back seat.... really easy access.

In fact, for a wagon, this is the EASIEST mod to do. Like... 5 minutes... 10 minutes tops. 1 minute to undo the left, one minute to undo the right, one minute (or less) the place (or remove) the bar, one minute to redo left, one minute to redo right. (Just remember not to overtorque the bolts)

the bar is completely removable with only two bolts. I drive a 2002 rs sedan. last weekend i had to fit two snowboards through my trunk pass through but the bar blocked the way. In order to temporarily remove the bar you only have to unbolt the two bolds that connect the bar to its end braces. You can leave the braces ontop of the strut towers as they are not in the way of anything!. When your done simply take the 3 minutes and bold the bar back up.

jhong567 does not have a wagon.
as for installing it in a sedan. the rear seats are really not that much of a pain to pull in and out of the car. 6 bolts.

i quite agree with mike with the exception of when one is running modified suspension. The stiffer you run your suspension the more it transfers twisting forces directly to the chassis. Chassis bracing(strut tower bars and lower bracing) will be of benefit to resist this, allowing the suspension to do its thing and maintain proper alignment angles.
