I hear a lot of bad stories.. Where are the good ones?
I see a lot of stories on how people's subarus mess up/fail/etc.
Are there any good stories on here? Post up how many miles you have on your Subaru and your "Good Experience"

Been happy with subaru, that's why I bought my 2nd one. First one had over 80k miles and had no issues. Just don't abuse it and be on top of your maintenance.

^ Love that car
I've got 26k on MY11. Couldn't be happier. Side note I'm still stock. I think it would be safe to say that a lot of problem stories you hear are from poor modding. |

You'll see the occasional "Subaru saved my life" threads. Close enough.

I have had nine subaru's and they have all gone over 22k.The two that blew at 220 were wrx motors so that was good. I sold one at 348k still running strong. I have had great experiences with my subies. I even rolled one and it is still fixable. Great car period.

2008 hard driven STi - just turned 105,000 on the clock and car drives like new. Modded as well, and is the best car I've ever owned. |

Ran my bugeye at 275whp from 66k miles to 101k miles. Then 350 whp from 101k to 109k before I sold it. Stock block. Stock clutch. Cars still on the road to this day. Sold it in June.
Drove the car hard but never launched. Kept up on fluid intervals and did the timing belt. Never once had a single issue with that car aside from a leaky trunk seal. Miss that car but I'm looking forward to ordering a brand new one next month. |

10 years, 91k, no issues. Never left me stranded. Only issues were two sensors went, O2 and crank position. No other issues at stage 2 with many suspension mods. Best car I have owned from a fun and reliable perspective.

On my 6th and 7th in my household. Guess I'm a lifer. There was a link on here somewhere over the past day or two with a story about Suby's in Maine. One guy quoted in the story had 600,000 miles on his. That's the highest I've ever heard!

2003 WRX bought new by me. 100% trouble free, a bit over 60,000 miles. Never had any trouble. Very, Very fun to drive!
Recently traded for a '13 to get to regular fuel and better mileage. I hope this one is as good as my old one, but only time will tell. John |

I'm original owner of 2006 WRX. 143,000 miles and going strong. Burns no oil, never been down in the shop of left me stranded. Original battery and clutch. 2nd set of brakes have 70k on them with tons of pad left.

Traded my crappy '09 WRX 5-door for my awesome '05 OBXT. Immediately drained the oil and replaced it with Guinness Stout. Been running like a superstar for the last 50K miles.

I have only had my WRX for a year but, there is something about this car that is different than any car I have owned. I can't put a finger on it though. I look forward to driving it. I take the scenic way every time I go someplace. |

I've driven my LGT 52k miles over the last three years. Bought it at 44k, currently at 96k. It burns oil, it's been in two accidents and been hit and ran twice, I put crappy springs on it and it rides like hell, it's catless and smelly, the paint looks bad, and my driver seat has a big ol' rip right where my butt goes. I can afford a newer, nicer car, but I love this one to death for some reason, and I'm keeping it until I've run it into the ground.
That's a nice Subaru love story, right? |

160,000 miles on my 05 Sti with original motor and tranny. Other than an O2 sensor and CV joints she has been sound! (knock on wood)
