^^ I effing loved your car. Nothing else looks or sounds like it. It's great to see a classic back on the stages.

Speaking of, maybe time for a few pics

The Saab was awesome!

We worked finish on 13, most of the cars had some sort of number on the windshield, some did not. Most cars were very hard to read from the side

Those are awesome photos! I've seen a lot of video/shots from that jump point, but yours are exceptionally nice!

The event was extra sweet for me since I'm A: a fan of Higgins/Drew and B: happy to see Block have trouble with his Ford. To lose the winning streak is one thing, but to drop out because a 50 cent part failed is poetic justice. Also happy that #75 won by a hefty lead of 8:51. Very nice indeed!

What part broke on Blocks FORD (insert your favorite ford acronym here, fixed or repair daily?)

Im glad 75 won, but sad to see lastage dnf due to mechanical problem i have a lot of respect for them, and especially John Boffum, they are privateers and compete up there with the big budget guys.

I think that's a little narrow minded to say you're happy Block DNF'd and blame it on the Ford. L'Estage DNF'd and he drives a DSM. Both were mechanical failures, it's racing, it happens.

Anyway, THANK YOU to everyone who came out and volunteered. The rally wouldn't happen without you! Can't wait until next year!

For me, Block switching to Ford was like Clemens leaving Boston in the early 90s. I grew up in MA and went to games when I was younger. I loved watching Clemens pitch at Fenway and when he left I was all upset. I'm a lot older now, but I guess I still had a grudge when Block left Subaru. Guess it's just the immature 6 year old in me. I'm still foolishly loyal.

You have to consider though, the switch to Ford was the BEST career move he could make. Subaru was limiting him in his growth, not to mention dropping out of WRC, and Ford was willing to provide an opportunity for Block to pursue his dream. More power to him, ya know? Are you loyal to the car or the driver? If you're loyal to the driver, you should be happy he made a big career move to help propel him. The car doesn't make the driver. The driver makes the car. As much as we all love Subaru.

Thank you for the compliments on my pictures though, I greatly appreciate it! Definitely always good to hear criticism, good or bad.

I always hate to see competitors drop out due to mechanical DNF. But that's part of racing. There is some stiff competition in every class, and it's always a blast to see each team battle it out.

I took a few videos on stage 9 after the start crew was into the groove before I had to rush over to 13. I've got the SAAB somewhere on the camera and will load it up when I have time.

1) One of my team commented on the fact that a few didn't have them on the windshield for that same reason.

2) You were in that Saab? In case you were wondering, the ATC arrivals team (stages 2, 6, 10, 16) awarded it the "Our favorite car" honors. The prize associated with that award is a free hamburger at the Eagles Lodge for the driver and codriver.
