Pics? Lucky you get supplies from your work...things stuck in my warehouse are at least 3ft. or wider so it'd be weird to have my boss see me lug things to the car lol

I've had my Agency Power LW pulley in since I got the car two years ago. I don't tell anybody I have it because everyone and their mother will just say that it's bad for the engine because it disrupts timing or some other BS. Our cars have a learning ECU, do not listen to them. When you rove the stock one you'll be shocked at how much less mass you'll have to move. I'm not so sure about MPGs, but it's throttle response is significantly better. I would recommend it, but then again I've only had my 08 for two years, maybe there truly are long term affects that I have yet to see.

TL;DR

Do it!

If the pulley is the same size as factory I wouldn't worry but, I've herd of people having issues with smaller in size aftermarket replacements.

Is there anyway to make the system shift faster?
The 4EAT is definitely archaic, albeit reliable. "D" is the more 'economical' mode, so it shouldn't hold the gears longer, not sure why yours does.

A tune won't alter the way the TCU behaves directly, which is frustrating, I would love to be able to change the shift points to use more of the rpm range. There was a thread where someone worked with a tuner to and a piggyback system (I think) which was able to tweak things, but the end conclusion was that for a DD it wasn't worth it.
I know that in Romraider you can now log some TCU values, and IIRC you can perform a TCU reset, that might help.

For an unmodified N/A motor this is generally true, you can probably make a few minimal gains in places but that's it. However, you can drastically improve the factory throttle mapping, a tune could be worth it just for that. Also, even with the stock intake, my MAF sensor benefitted from a rescale.

In theory, with higher octane fuel you can run more timing and be less prone to knock (someone correct me if i'm wrong here). Personally, I noticed the car ran smoother with 89 or 91 vs 87, even when it was stock. I wouldn't claim any increase in power, but smoother definitely, the low rpm 'lumpiness' went away.

Or if you want to spend the money on an N/A car, and do the modifications right with a decent tune, you can have a real fun reliable car with gobs of low down torque and no turbo lag

If it is economical, why would It hold the gears longer till roughly 4500rpm?

Mine does stay in gear longer, not wanting to up shift.... ?????

It might be your transmission itself or maybe your fluids low. maybe even the filter for it

It was a little early in the AM to be typing, I contradicted myself
No idea why yours is like that, unless you're at WOT everywhere

I've read a few articles saying that staying above 2,500 (correct me if I'm wrong) is more fuel-efficient than staying below or at idle. So maybe that might give you peace of mind lol Although I wouldn't believe it.

Forgot my point but maybe it does that to be more efficient?? Anywho it wasn't like that until after using sport mode.

Thanks for the response and most of the aftermarket pulleys state it won't mess with the harmonic balancer or whatever. Two years is plenty of time, especially if you do a mixture of driving (both highway and city driving). Ill do some more researching though.

NH8991- someone bored at work/home? , very well written response though (slow clap).

Navy seal-idk where you bought your sockets but (even though I don't prefer them) harbor freight has a of tools for really cheap prices lol.

Yep, bored at home! Off work with bronchitis

Forgot to chime in about LW pulleys, i've had a Group A LW crank pulley on the car for maybe 3.5 years now, no issues (so far).....

Sucks to hear man, I had that once. Best of luck on recovering!
I would recommend not being on the forums too long, otherwise you will only be tempting yourself to buy more goodies for your car (ask me how I know)

Only reason why I haven't bought a lw pulley is because of what others have said bout it causing problems

Does a pulley really help that much to have to sweat about it messing up the engine? Afaik you cant even see it.

It's blue, my car is white as well but I just thought it seemed like a good deal and a good thing to have down the road, I can't say I've seen one for sale locally before

I mean it's only like $130 for the most expensive one being Cobb (I think). As long as it doesn't weigh too light than it will be fine.
