Boosters didn't work...stock springs on AGXs anyone?
I tried the Pep Boys spring booster solution, and it worked great in the ride height department. I got just over 3/4" front and back. But handling-wise, I lost that feeling of solidity at the corners, which we speculate is because you have a 1.5", squirmy rubber donut in the dance all of a sudden. The rear never did settle in right.
So, I'm going back to the stock springs with the AGXs for now, pending someone coming out with a spring kit for our cars that gives a legitimate 3/4-1" drop for my '98 GT wagon. Dale Teague has a set of Whiteline springs that he's checking out, so I'll see. Someone else mentioned GABs, but the problem enters with the greater weight of the wagon, apparently. Ah, well. What can I expect from stock springs and AGXs, anyone? Kevin |
