Default gauge cluster brighter

I've been serching for a couple of day now and the only topics I could find was about people using LED to change the color of the cluster.

I want to keep the OEM color, I just want to make it brighter so it will match my Prosport gauges.

I thought on using #74 LED from www.v-leds.com in super white, but from what I read on LED, my needles won't light up !?

Anybody have an idea on what to use ?
