Default A lap around Summit Point in our GC Impreza project car

This is a single lap recorded a couple of weeks ago at the Mach V Fifth Annual Track Day event, which was a NASA HPDE (High Performance Driving Event) at Summit Point Raceway in WV. I think this is cool because we have both video and data that was all recorded to a Race-Keeper system. So I've got speed, RPM, lateral and longitudinal acceleration, and location all recorded on the video.

The car is our GC Impreza project car. Click the hyperlink for more details.

I've got plenty more laps, if people want to see a longer vid. I could watch the various data all day long, but I suppose it's not as interesting if you're not the driver. Let me know what you think.

Looks like a neat system.

How do you like it? An extra information about it?

How easy is the install?

It's very cool. I've been looking for a video/data recorder for a few years, and up to now they all came up short. (Too complicated, software too kludgy, hardware too messy.) This is one simple box. You plug it into power and your OBD-II port, plug the cameras and microphone in to the box, stick the GPS antenna somewhere it can see the sky, and you're set. It took us about twenty minutes to set up in our car.

More details about it are HERE.

The software is excellent, too. I'll probably do a thread with more on that over in the Motorsports forum.
