Yeah - of course its ok. Supposedly, there will be a caravan of Evos coming down from Dallas and there should be a couple of Minis joining us as well.

This looks like fun. I remember the 2003 Fredericksburg cruise. It has been too long. You guys mind if an old friend in an MP3 possibly tags along?

I updated the post to address concerns such as these. While this is a NASIOC cruise and there will be mostly Subarus in attendance, all are welcome. This is about enjoying the roads of this area in your ride of choice with like minded individuals.

Also - I spoke with a manager @ Rudy's this morning and gave him the heads up due to the potentially large turnout this time. Since they dont take reservations, I will be showing up a little early (11-ish) to reserve some tables outside (or inside if weather sucks). If anyone wants to show up early to help, maybe direct traffic to form an impressive lineup in the parking lot, that would be greatly appreciated.

Our cars for lunch) there may be a few other Mazda guys coming down from Dallas as well.

Depending on how fast we all drive (safely), stops, sightseeing, etc, it should be around 3 hours of drive time.

We'd love to tag along for the cruise if you don't mind

I'll bring some stickers and a few shirts to give away too.

With this many people, how about 5 run groups? OSM does 5 groups for around 30-40 people.

Sounds good to me. I say we have one big caravan from Rudy's to Tetco and then split off into groups, leaving in 5-10 minute intervals.

If we are going to do it OSM style, then we should establish one main channel for the entire cruise, and maybe sub channels for each group? If we all stay on one radio channel things can get very cluttered with everyone talking at once.

As for the safety briefing, we need to emphasize safe passing practices for all those two-lane blacktops. If you have someone radio from ahead that you can pass safely, make sure the other drivers around you know who is passing the slow poke, and in what order. After my super close call last year, I don't want it to happen to anyone else.

This is a great idea. When setting up the groups, I'll assign sub channels for each group.

Speaking of - would you mind being a group leader? If so - PM me you name and phone number.

Also wanted to note that if as many people show up as have posted on here, that Tetco at 620 and 71 might not be be big enough to hold all of us without some serious crowding
