A promising and determined individual looking for an internship.
Hello everyone, my name is Alex and I am from central New Jersey. I want to expand on my current knowledge of cars. I have been around them most of my life, and I am very determined to learn more. I would love to get an internship at a shop so that I can learn more. Summer is near and I will have plenty of time to devote myself 110% to this opportunity, if it is given to me.
Link to my Car Journal: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2139718 I can not find better words, so this is copied from my car journal: My name is Alex, I'm 15 and I've been around cars for a majority of those years. When I was about 5 my dad started to build a b14 se-r. It was one of the first ones in the 11s on street tires. The car was sold due to 6+ broken transmissions. Since then he's had a supercharged frontier, a pulsar GTi-R and two sr20 powered s14's. His only car now is a 2008 STi making about 550 to all four wheels and he has plans to build a datsun 510 soon. Our summers are full of racing and building. I've been building all of the cars with him for years and cars are my passion. I do alot of work on my older friends cars, and the only thing that has held me back is age. However age is becoming less and less of a factor as days go by, I will be 16 June. I would love to take up an internship/apprenticeship to build on what I have learned through myself and through my father. I am a very determined individual and I will not let anyone down. I try my hardest at everything I do, and I do it the best I can. Regardless of age, as I said, I am a promising individual, and I will not disappoint anyone. Thanks for reading, Alex D |

Looking for Full time work in southern CT/Westchester NY areas.
Have a bachelors degree in business management. Spring 2010. Previously worked for Prudential financial, Enterprise, multiple restaurants and catering operations, managed a sports place. Looking for jobs in the following fields-Sales, advertising, entry level management or management training programs, business development and am really open to anything not requiring a specific degree. At this point I'm more inclined to work for a smaller company because of their less strict hiring process and applicants. I'm very reliable, honest and hard working. I currently hate the position I'm in now working just part time at 24 years old and am trying my best to seek a full time position. If anyone knows of any jobs available please PM me or email me at [email protected]. Thanks NASIOC! |

Hey everyone, I was recently laid off from Infiniti and am in need of some form of cash flow as I have a daughter and bills. I've been working as an auto tech since I was discharged (honorably) from the Army in 2007. I am ASE certified (A1, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, and X1) and I have both inspection and emissions licence. I do have some experience as a service writer and would not mind doing that again. I can provide a resume upon request. Thanks!

Want to hire: experienced mechanic
I'm looking to add another motivated individual to the Innovative Tuning team in a mechanic/tech position. I'm considering part time and full time applications at this time. APPLICANTS MUST HAVE: -Significant mechanical experience pertaining to high performance work and general maintenance and repair. -Excellent mechanical understanding. We aren't doing brake jobs and mounting tires all day. Custom high performance work involves careful thought and execution. -Extreme attention to detail. Our customers have come to expect a lot more of us than they would other shops. That's a beautiful thing and I intend to keep it that way. Making sure all jobs are completed carefully and thoroughly is a must. If you cannot handle constructive criticism and/or direction on your work you need not apply. We definitely do a lot of things differently than the average shop so you must be willing to accept new methods. -Solid interpersonal skills. If you aren't friendly, articulate, and intelligent, you won't fit in here. -High performance automotive knowledge and interest. The more the better, but I don't expect you to know it all. We're passionate about what we do here and I will expect that same enthusiasm from a new employee. This is not a cookie cutter tech job. If automotive performance isn't something you're interested in, this isn't the job for you. -Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment. -Willingness to take on new tasks and learn more about automotive performance. -Automotive tools. I have certain specialty tools for the shop like leakdown, wheel bearing etc. tools, but you must have your own ratchets, sockets, wrenches and other basic automotive tools. Pay depends on experience, automotive knowledge, etc. There will be a paid trial period where you come in and work part time alongside one of our existing mechanics so we can get a better feel for your level of experience and to see if your personality will fit in well with our team before a formal hiring. This is also to ensure that our high quality standards are upheld at all times. If interested, please e-mail a resumè to [email protected] After reviewing resumès we will contact some of you for an interview. Please be warned: This is a serious job and while we do have our fair share of fun here, it's as real as a job gets and I expect your best during work hours. We specialize in Japanese cars, but do work on some European and domestic vehicles depending on the situation. Applicable experience on non Japanese cars is acceptable. I've had some solid applicants over the years who simply didn't have enough experience to bring on during our busy season so I apologize to those applicants looking to get their foot in the door at a good shop. Our customers and I expect only the best and this time of year we cannot consider bringing someone up to speed who has little experience. Innovative Tuning 298 Hinman Ave. Buffalo, NY 14216 Phone: (716) 873-7360 http://www.InnovativeTuning.com |
