Congrats on a bad ass car.

What are you using to spool on the line? Are you just relying on the converter?

What else would he be using? Did you mean like spray or something or is there some other auto features I don't know about??

Transbrake is very similar to using the converter to get things on the boil at the line yes?

Can't beat the consistency IMO as well as it has to be easier on the axles and ds I would think.

Never seen an auto Subaru get tuned on the dyno

50-75 shot is pretty common on small displacement, big turbo, auto cars.

Tune in 3rd gear it's 1:1 ratio, I'm still on stock WRX axles and R160 but haven't let it go hard off the transbrake yet. Only the foot brake, it hasn't broke anything yet.

Yes I was running the S366 .95 AR before but it seemed like that small housing choked it. They don't make an AR in twin scroll bigger than that so I moved up to the S374.

Also on an update I got an R180, axles, hubs & knuckles. Thanks to FobiaWRX the cage is in and 5 pt harness mounted. Going to try to get the diff in this week and I'll be back out to try and better ET.

Do you guys lock the converter under power at some point? Doesn't sound like it in the video. I know with gas performance stuff it's typical to just leave it unlocked during the run, I mean when things are wound up tight the % of slip is pretty low. With Diesel stuff we lock them up under power, I setup my truck to lock about half way through 2nd when WOT.. Diesel stuff has a tendency to push through the converter though... but slip is slip, it's power going into heat.

Just wondering if anyone offers built converters that can stand to be locked under high power??

Going to Top End dragways Saturday, had some problems with the tires rubbing on the coils in the rear. Got shorter springs and an alignment and we will see what happens.

No lock on the converter, it is custom made by Precison of New Hampton IA with no converter clutch. The trans I am running has no TCU so im not sure if you would even be able to lock the converter if it had one.

You can lock most of them with a switch (though there are better ways of course...usually some kind of solenoid in the VB that engages the lockup).

Interesting to hear about your setup though, thanks for sharing. Might have to contact them to see if they can build a TC with a lockup strong enough to take power. I mean I have a 6spd and don't really plan on changing that - just curious. Thanks,

Todd

Well I didn't improve on my previous best, but now that I have the proper safety gear I made 10 passes and all of them 9.6x @ 14x in a row. The car is consistent just can't seem to get a 60' all were 1.6x or a few high 1.5's. gonna get me some slicks have Ron turn up the boost and come out next spring and hit my goal of 8.99 or better for next year.
