I'm not looking forward to doing that inlet install. I keep contemplating whether or not it's worth it to do it. Some people say it is, some say take the intake manifold off and do TGV deletes, phenolic spacers, fuel rails and injectors, and anything else you can while the manifold is off to make it worth it.

What are your impressions so far?

Spool time has def decreased I actually just got it on this weekend and haven't had a whole lot of time to drive it. Feels immensely better in the midrange.

I wanted to do all of those at the same time as well but I am trying to stay in my auto-x class. I ended up using a pry bar and some pliers to yank it through and under the manifold. If I would have known it was so durable and that I could use tools like that it would have been an easy hour and 15 or so install.

seems like the mods are coming along nicely! too bad about the silencer though, do you still run the stage 2 map with that in??

I'm sure you have something in the works to resolve that issue longterm, I feel you on that, its a mission and a half figuring out how to get a quiet 3"

Yeah the silencer is to appease the neighbors when I go to work in the very early a.m. I do run stage 2 with it in.... Could be me but it def feels slower in upper rpms. I really don't feel the g200 is that loud but my gf likes to think otherwise.

Looking forward to installing my TiC fcar bushings but trying to wait for new vorshlag front top mounts and sway bars. Auto-x season back in full swing this April.

Haha. More of a we just moved into a new house and neighborhood... Please don't make the neighbors think were jerks thing. Otherwise she is very supportive and doesn't get jealous when I spend more money/time on the car than her.

Thanks for the support!

Default Blingstrom's 05 Sti build

Your car should handle like a dream once all that is installed.

Then after noticing some coolant seeping through the plastic end tanks of the radiator i decided i would upgrade before it blew out. Unfortunately my coworker wasn't so lucky and his soaked his whole engine bay.

Man, this looks so much cleaner (on the outside) than my 04. The interiors are basically the same, but my front bumper needs resprayed, and I need some touch up work done in small areas outside.

Subscribed for updates!

I have done plenty of touch up and had the car at the PDR to get it to where it is today. I as well would like to get a front bumper respray.

I wish you luck in your build as well. I will keep the updates coming! Thanks for your comments.

As I'm sitting with the engine out and parts everywhere. It feels like a fully uphill battle from here, lol.
