Default Rotation direction of EBC Dimpled and slotted rotors?

Anyone know which direction the EBC dimpled and slotted rotors are supposed to go? I've seen pictures where they are put on both ways, and I'm wondering if mine are backwards. I'm going to be switching out my pads and was wondering if I will have to swap my rotors so they rotate the other way.

IIRC you want them to "cut" from outside to inside so with the wheel rotating forward you want the outside end of the slot to hit the pad first.

Although it probably matters more how the vents INSIDE the rotor are oriented.

Vents are what matter, If they are directional it makes all the difference. You want the vanes to "throw" the air out of the center of the rotor, not "scoop" it in.

^^^ Exactly.

Look at the vanes and determine which way will extract air outwards. The surface grooves dont neccessarily determine the direction.

There is no marking on the rotor to tell you directionality? I find that strange.

There's no marking on my 2-piece slotted Stoptech rotors, either, just little 'L' and 'R' stickers that came on the rotors. I don't find it all that strange.

If they are pillar style vanes then direction doesn't matter. It's only if they are the "scoop" looking vanes when it matters.

Slots can go either way.
