Noo!!
I would not for the life of me take my car to north point for repairs. I took mine in after some noob smashed into my car and stole the stereo and various amounts of change from the change bucket. They ended up "test driving" my car for over 150 miles and shredding the wiring to my A-pillar gauges, which they said they never touched but later admited they had. All in all, do not go see them.

Nothing Good To Say
Don't get my started on North Park. My first impression of them was that they had a great service department, because of the big deal they made out of it for the new owners. We were invited to a thing where they took care of you and told you that your car was in great hands with them, etc.
The service rep for Subaru, Tim Sanderson, a complete dumbass in my book. Actually, they all seem the same way. They are there to make you happy. How do they make you happy? With words. That's it, just words. I have never once been happy with the service I recieve. Got my car back with a nice dent in the door, had my radio presets totally messed up, and the seat moved. I swear, they also took it for a nice long joy ride. That really pissed me off. Asked about that common smoke from the turbo and I got a lame answer, basically declining to do anything about it. Had a coolant leak somewhere. They pressure tested it and sent it out as being OK. Lost about half a resevoir of coolant on the way home and had it dripping past the shroud on the underside of the engine bay. Went to take the shroud off to have a look and it was missing the four bolts. Found and fixed the problem fairly easy. Called Timmy back up and asked him to ship the 4 bolts to us. They didn't have the bolts, so he said that he would ship a whole new shroud to us and that it would be here on Friday. Maybe it will come today (the Tuesday after). I'm not going to blame him/them for the currently late arrival. Tim is the only guy dealing with Subarus there. I'm almost looking forward to the warranty ending, so I don't have reason to even think about taking it to them. For they guys out there that are picky about how people treat or drive your car, don't go there. Every time they get a chance to drive a WRX or STi (or STI now) they tend to get a bit heavy on the throttle for the hell of it. They defintely try to hit boost, probably before the turbo is even warm. Then, they just kill the engine as quick as they park. They don't even let the turbo cool. I was just pissed watching them handle this guy's MY06 STI. I never sit the lobby and wait for the car. I feel like I have to watch my girl the whole time. After talking to a friend of a friend, who works there, I realized that he had the same opinion of the place. HE DID MENTION AN ALTERNATIVE! Apparently, many people go to Austin to get work done on their car. This made me glad to see that I wasn't just being too picky or anything like that. Sorry for the ranting, but it had to be said. Honestly, it felt good to say it too. |

I have not had any service from them, but that is where I made my purchase based on the experience I had with North Park sales. And, I was paying cash I am my own wrench when it comes to service.

I know what you mean... the only reason I take it to them is for warranty work or the free oil changes that I got when I purchased it. I still check my car over and make sure it was done right, even with a simple oil change. I really don't trust them. I still find it funny that I had to fix my own problem after taking it to them. I think I might have to throw a party when the warranty ends! Now I know where to buy my next Subaru from.... whenever that might be.
