Oh okay. I found that if you have the Pressure Plate on the bench, plate down and let the throw out bearing settle, you can pop it out very easily with a flat head screw driver and a twist. Whew. Thanks gentlemen!

Been getting weird AFR spikes lately, not sure if its the Innovate MTX gauge or its actual misfires! Feedback any one?
https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B8g...W9UczUzQUJLbU0 https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B8g...UpVdmJNbmFORDQ https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B8g...XV1VmE1RjlSUWs https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B8g...3JqYkRaOUE0WVU Happens at random boost levels, usually anywhere from 4500 to 5500 rpm under load. Same with meth injection as well Cant really feel it in the car, also knock sensor is quiet. Running Brisk 2 step cold plugs gaped to .030 and factory coil packs. I'm I missing something here? The logs you provided don't go into the 4500 -5500 rpm zones??????
SCRATCH THAT. you think google docs would work better on android. |

Do you have a log with individual EGTs at the time of the AFR fluctuation

EGTs looks same as always climbing to about 690c at red line, with no major bumps, the EGT system is not very fast acting anyways, its only good to see a big picture.

A little OT but I'm running these guys EGT probes and oil sensor probes and I'm trying out one of there exposed junction EGT probes that they use on top fuel cars. The response time is 250 ms and they say with their probes you can see a single misfire @ 8000 rpm. I'm going to log the exposed junction probe along with the normal EGT probe to see the difference in response times. |

i'm thinking it might be the spark plugs, going to drop in old NGK iridiums or Denso IKH22 and if it changes anything.
step 2 cold plugs are rated for 700+ whp, Last edited by Bariga; 09-17-2012 at 06:59 PM. |

after long time of trouble shooting the AFR spikes thinking its misfires went to store bought new sensor and boom afr in perfect line!
****ing innovate support is trying to blame it on missfires and that if the sensor is not showing error code its good ********... |

So you've had that innovate for like 4-6 months and it crapped out? Sounds about right.
Innovate tried to blame the car or install for problems with their product....sounds about right. That's why I stopped recommending them. 99% of their "troubleshooting" is blaming the customer and telling them they didn't install it correctly. I really believe innovate has some serious electrical issues with their controllers that causes premature wear. The same Bosch sensors last a million times longer with uegos than innovate. |

What kind of Innovate is that? LC-1? I have LM-1, removed it and replaced with LC-1. LC-1 is horrible compared to LM-1. I'm thinking if LC-1 gets damaged easily due to severe heat of the engine bay, unlike LM-1 since LM-1 controller is inside the car, much cooler but eats up a lot of space.

I had an lc-1 with main unit mounted on my strut bar, sensor mounted at rear o2 location and I went through sensors like nuts. I sold it after the 5th or 6th sensor swap. On an aem now and still on the original sensor. Might give the mtx-l a try though.

I'll try to put the lc-1 controller inside the car, if it still kill sensor that soon, i'll just remove it and put back my lm-1. |
