Thanks,

This and other professional tuners sharing this kind of information is really helpful. So thanks to all the other professionals who share this info too (Ed, Dom, Jorge, etc...)

Doesn't matter what the peak boost of the TD04 is, peak power always comes after it starts tapering. It can't keep up with peak boost.

HP peak on that is around 6200ish and boost is going to be tapered down to like 12PSI by then.

Other than that, numbers are just numbers, and if you think the numbers are high, just file that away when you compare future plots from Surgeline. No sense in starting another "who's dyno is high / low / correct / whatever" discussion that will only derail a thread into uselessness.

Whats wrong with it?? Its pretty common for a stg2 wrx to make 235-245whp and matching if not higher TQ with 15-16psi of boost.
Look at the baseline for the 08 STI, its 230whp.. Not high and not super low.

Nice work guys!

It's already been covered in this thread that TD04 peak boost does not relate to peak power.

With stock TD04, peak power happens at higher RPM than it can sustain peak boost. It's only running around ~12 psi at peak power no matter what your boost is set to. 19 psi vs. 16 psi is irrelevant when only looking at max power numbers. The midrange of the curve will change, but peak power will not.

Apples to Oranges...

Don't get butthurt because that car is making better #'s on a lower reading dyno.

Are you even aware of what a stock STI puts down on their dyno?

Any comments on the Surgeline Tune on the 2010 Legacy?

I know you guys did just a tune on one and it put down over 250 whp and 270 wtq.

What kind of potential does the turbo have with a full exhaust?
