Latest Pics of motor in car and just about to rock and roll.
I still have to fab my downpipe/exhaust, reloom my harness, powder coat and heat coat parts. This is going to take just a little longer than expected, reason mostly because I have now decided to do MUCH better brakes. Will update when I have fired the motor and breaking it in and yes that is a rotated VF39 with a 4" intake. Last edited by ...CHUCKLES...; 01-20-2013 at 06:38 PM. |

I like how you mounted the FPR gauge and used hard fuel lines instead of braided SS.
Nice work!! |

That really turned out great. If I have to touch my fuel lines again I'm going to try bending my own hard lines. It looks like it would be tough to get just right, but when done right it looks fantastic. |

Know that I personaly did not build the block, heads or long block. I did however fab the intake manifold and machined some parts.
So far in just parts for the long block+intake I have about 13 grand and about 3ish grand in services. Total of between 15-17 grand for everything so far. Also know that I bought ALL new stuff, only things that are used are 703case halves and head castings only. + I did not mentioned a lot of outher stuff like injectors, AN fittings, outside process costs and shipping costs which should all be taken into account. Also know that I am still not done. Just rember this hobby is like a BOAT. B-reak O-ut A-nother T-housand I am willing to live with that... |

I will be running some custom UEL 304 sch 10 headers at first, but once I finish with my super alloy HAYNES 230 headers (should weigh around 5-7 lbs) then I will be running those.

^^^ what I ment by that was after I have broke in the motor, I will try to crack 475-500 on the 39. I also understand that it is an improbable task, but aah why it try I have the time. Also this would not be for practical use.

^^^First I shaved the mani for reversing then I cut the purge tank off of the intake mani also applying a velocity stack for the TB. Then I machined a clamp for the FP gauge and welded to the mani as you stated. As for the FPR yes it is mounted to the manifold using a bracket I made and welded 4 treaded post on the manifold to hold the bracket.

Mine made 590s on a mustang dyno on 27psi and 3 leaky cylinders. It's at 30psi now with a fresh engine but I didn't have a chance to dyno it again. Build looks fantastic, man. I'm jealous of your clean intake/fuel line combo! Subscribed for more updates. |
