Iron cylinder sleeves?
Has anyone investigated having their blocks bored and sleeved with ductile iron? This is a fairly common thing for high boost, aluminum block engines, but I haven't heard of anyone doing it to their EJ25 (or their EJ20).

I didn't realize there already was one. That might be why I never see anyone doing it

You will never see an aluminum block without an iron sleeve. They all have them
