where did you get the spacers? im trying to find some stock suspension as well (i have eibach pro springs) and some spacers would be perfect to lift it back up a bit until i find stock springs/struts

I got them from
http://www.subtle-solutions.com/

Paranoid Fabrications and Jackson Rally (find them on dirtyimpreza.com) also make some, coming in HDPE or aluminum. I plan to add a 3/8" saggy butt spacer to bring the rear up so that the fender gaps match F&R.

I used the forester rear top hats with the FOR springs but I don't think it's necessary.
And I did use the 03 OB upper perches and top hats, but also not necessary. When I had them in hand, the upper perches were identical and the top hats were geometrically the same. Although the 03 OB top hats have a sealed bearing whereas the gen 1 OB top hats are not sealed, just the dust cap which fits on top.

The 03 OB front spring is the same coil thickness as the gen 1 OB spring and is less than 1" total height difference, but has 1/4 more coil rotation. I don't know for sure but suspect the gen 2 OB coil has a stiffer rate.

Actually I am. I'm considering dropping in an OB rear sway to see how that changes rally and dirt road driving characteristics...
But the stock sways on this car are like 18-19 front and 15 rear, so even stock OB sways are a thicker improvement at (i think) 22 and 18.

Here you can see the little rear sway bar in there:

I threw on a WRX rear sway bar in my OBS on FXT suspension, WOW. Enormous difference. She continues to surprise me with how much better the handling is (I eventually added rear Perrin end links and a front strut bar as well). It's no longer terrifying taking turns suggested at 40mph at 50mph+. This way I can... save gas by keeping a steady speed. You know... go green.

So will this work for a 2003 wagon as well? Just bolt right up? Also where is the best place to buy used forester suspension? Did you use XT or XS forester susp.? Thanks again!
