Angry Can anyone help me find this jerk

I was in a car accident on Friday, and as far as I know, the police STILL haven't found the guy. I was hit by an 18 wheeler delivering vehicles. He was merging into my lane and hit me in the side first, and if that wasn't enough, he decided to rear end me an additional three times. So he hit me a total of FOUR times. I got the plate of the trailer that he was pulling, but not his truck. As of right now, the police still didn't get him. I don't even know if they ran his plate number as I only talked to the lady in the records office. Does anyone here know how to track someone down with a plate number?

It was a New York plate, AS-10437.

I really want to find this jerk and make him pay for the damage to my car. Luckily I wasn't hurt and the damage isn't all that bad, but still... if he is driving for a living, he really should be more careful and respectful of other drivers. It's just wrong.

You can probably find out where the delivery was made...the truck driver has to sign forms and stuff for delivery. You can find out which driver made what delivery on what time and date...good luck with that.

Is this Castle Creek's finest, or the Staties?

Get a copy of the accident report from the police. His info should be on there. Don't contact him personally. Contact his employer/insurance company. If you have to, get lawyered up.

Nope, I didn't cut him off. It was at an area that a lot of accidents happen. Two highways are merging into one, and his lane had to merge into mine. He still had plently of space before his lane even came close to ending. We were head to head around the curve so I speed up to give him room to get behind me. Next thing I know... WHACK. Then 3 more times. I could see where the first time could have been an accident, and he may not have know he hit me since I have a small car and he has a big truck. But when he continues to keep bumping me 3 more times... he HAD to have known what he was doing.

Castle Creek doesn't even have police! It actually happened in Binghamton NY (Castle Creek is just a small town outside). So it was one of there finest.

I plan on going today or tomorrow to get a copy of the accident report. The thing is, I don't think that they even know who it was. When I called 911 to report it right after it happened, I gave the plate number to the operator, but she made me turn around and go to the police to report the incident. I was following him to make sure he got pulled over. But she told me not to so that I didn't "put myself in danger". Then the police officer that I gave my report to said that they looked for him all the way to the end of the county and didn't find him. That will be the last time I listen to a 911 operator.

fudd8963: My friend isn't breathing!
911 operator: What happened to your friend before she stopped breathing?
fudd8963: She was eating a tuna salad sandwich, then she grabbed her throat and started turning red!
911 operator: Your friend is likely choking on her sandwich. Do you know the heimlich maneuver?
fudd8963: Yes... I know it...
911 operator: You need to perform the heimlich maneuver on your friend.
fudd8963: Yeah right! Fool me once, shame on you. You can't get fooled again!

yea F that, I would of said I'm following his ass until he stops so you better get a cop out here fast before someone gets killed, if you would of worded it like that I bet there would of been a cop out there in a matter of minutes if not less. They still have the plate of the trailer so they can tell who the trailer belongs to, it just sounds like either they're not following up with it or you're leaving something out. Did you report it to your insurance? If so they're probably already in touch with the police to determine who it belongs to so they can get their money.

Do people think these things through, or does the Intarweb just suck the e-thuggin' out of people uncontrollably?

They are not following up with it... YET. They don't want to see an angry fudd, trust me, it's not pretty! I can be a nice sweet girl, until you get me mad. Just ask elucas. He knows! I gave the plate to the insurance when I called them yesterday, so I will probably have better luck through them then the police, since my insurance won't want to pay to get my car fixed.
