Default Clarion CX501 at Sonic Audio

Got this one for $179 last week and mounted into my 2013 Impreza. Works great, except I had to read the manual to find out how to make it stop changing colors on me. Color selection "Red 8" is a good match for the dash illumination on my car.

Is the 501 still $179? I'd like to move to it from my 609 but I was waiting until the HD tuner price came down.

Default Still $179.99

Patrick-

CX501 is still 179.95 with free freight at Sonic Electronics at this very moment. I wasn't sufficiently interested in HD Radio or Satellite to consider the auxiliary receivers and so can't comment on these prices.

Thanks for all of your help on my project.

Just One left 45% off 940BT. Amazon is still running some nice deals on other stereo equipment.

Instock again since 6am this morning, $560 Pioneer 940bt.

This deal was better for me to spend a extra $160 for the whole system, navigation and all to get a better unit than the brand new 4200 i have in the closet.

If you're not looking for anything DVD or touch screen.

Picked one up and installed myself. Comes with the mic for the Bluetooth. Couldn't be happier with this find.

Did you need anything else while installing it? Brackets or spacers or anything?

You need a wiring harness and dash kit depending on the year of your car. (it doesn't show me on the mobile app)

I'm very interested in this Pioneer FH-X700BT for my 2012 WRX and I also have an iPhone 5S as well. I use my Bluetooth very often both for Music/Phone calls so I don't want to give that up....especially the steering wheel controls.

I'm not really a stereo guy though. The last head unit I bought aftermarket was around 1997.

So is it possible to install this while keeping my bluetooth hands free steering controls, audio controls (changing modes as well between radio/CD/etc) while also not impacting anything such as cruise control?

I just want to make sure I'm not making any sacrifices at the steering wheel.

i see crutch field has mentioned an adaptor for steering controls. Did you do something like this? I may need to create my own thread if this is too off topic.

Hello all!!

This isnt really a deal for all, more like a deal for me, but I would love some advice!

So I just wanted to get a bit of advice here. So I have been searching around for a decent head unit. I was initially looking at nav systems since I love that functionality, but the price was WAY out of my price range, so I dropped it down to the simple, touchscreen interfaces for around $250-350. Thats when my local buddy popped up with a Kenwood 6190HD that he got on whole sale a couple of months ago and decided he didnt want it after using it for a few months. He offered to let me have it for dirt cheap ($150+ $50 amazon card) since Im a close friend.

So my dilemma, even at this REALLY good price, is it worth it this late in the game? Im really stoked about the nav functionality but im unsure of decent android support (Galaxy Note 3) and the overall UI. After watching a few videos on the device, im not a big fan of how sluggish it is and im not sure if thats fixable through a firmware update or what. I really like a nice, fast, responsive interface. My main uses for this unit would be nav functionality, bluetooth music streaming/calling, ability to use satellite radio, CD's (I refuse to let that format die!!) and DVD's for showing off to friends and just messing around with. Im also pretty sensitive about meta data...meaning I must have it where I can, bluetooth, radio, CD's ect. Im also planning on upgrading the speakers to a higher quality set as well as an 8in sub and tiny amp sometime in the near future.

Also, you're more likely to get people looking at your question if it's not buried in an unrelated thread that doesn't get a lot of movement in the first place.

That LiteBox was a legend in its own time in terms of bang for the buck.
