Grounding Kit??
I just saw this on the mods site. My car has 126k on it so if it does everything it says it does i guess this would help a lot. Has anyone used this and know exactly what you are supposed to get out of it? The box on the pic said HP gains and a bunch of other ****.

How's that for being noncommital? But seriously, a friend has a 1.8 Impreza and we regrounded the car in an attempt to clear up a charging problem. The factory grounds were so corroded that his charging system couldn't muster any more than 12.9 volts at full boil. Cleaning all of the connections (which may have fixed the problem by itself) and supplementing the pathetic factory grounds brought it up to 13.8. -Dan |

I just purchased 4 gauge High voltage, high current wire at some amazing audio store. It was 24 bucks for 12 Ft., I also picked up gold plated terminals too, i didn't want the gold ones, but it was all they had, those ended up costing me 15 bucks. So now all i have to do is borrow a solder iron from the engineering department here at school and put my grounding kit together. Oh i guess i'll have to purchase a ratchet set too since all my tools are at home.

Ah, very cool, the grounding kit was a good mod.
I didn't see the sense in spending $100 for pre-cut wires, so I bought 10' of 8GA insulated copper wire at home depot, then soldered on some loop connectors I had hanging around the house, a snip here, some solder there, 45 minutes later I had a grounding kit on my car. |
