Yep, live in the dorms. For lack of any better explanation having a car is too expensive for me right now

I'm booked this weekend - participating in Son of Sno*Drift in Detroit! So I won't be totally missing out this weekend.

Nah - the lighting is pretty solid. There's a little bit of wobble if you go over some insanely aggressive bumps, but otherwise it's pretty darn solid, as long as you have everything bolted in tight. It's cheap enough to not be perfect. I bought some Hella H3 bulbs off Amazon for $6, and they improved it quite a bit. It's all pretty hodgepodge, but it works! If you want, I even have some spare aluminum angle stock for you if you want it.

I will be there with a group of 23 people in a massive log cabin. I will have my Forester with me, but it will have green wheels. So I am sure you will see it at some point.

I will also be up there in a log cabin with around 20 people (maybe the same cabin?? lol) And I can't wait!

Looks like its going to be 55° and rainy all day Saturday
It'd be a warm meet for this season.

I'd do it for you if i had my tools with me, but let me try me best to figure it out knowing nothing about your car:

T belt it super easy to do if you follow one of the many guides online, i know you said you can't find the time but yeah. It's an option you should consider because it takes no time at all, or maybe i just find **** like that fun.

As for the oil leak, my guess is either a valve cover gasket, or one of the valve cover screw gaskets. They give out all the time. Check those if you have the time to, if one of the little screw indents has a ton of nasty oil and build up on it.. bingo. $6 at the Jewbaru Stealership for one screw gasket and about 5 minutes of wrench turning and you'll be on your way.

Hope that helps you, or can at least allow you to point a shop in the right direction. I really don't know about kzoo shops but like helping haha.

Remind me to buy you a pizza/beer/money sometime to help me do mine. I have a decent amount of tools, but I'm a bit intimidated at the idea of getting that far into the engine.

That's the nice thing though, you don't have to get in to the engine at all. It's all superficial other than the water pump, and that's just a matter of a couple bolts. It's all very easy to do really, especially if you're going to pull the radiator out for a bit of ease-of-access (and if you're going to be swapping the water pump and draining the coolant anyways, you might as well). I've swapped my belt with the radiator still in, but that was a single cam car, so it was a bit easier.

If there is no snow, they cancel the event. They've done it in the past.

I'll have to check. All my weekends are weird this month due to things that could happen (sno drift, autoshow, school stuff). A lot of things are up in the air.

Sorry I couldn't be there! I drove in Son of SnoDrift XV. It was much more like "MudDrift XV" than anything. I had a hell of a time, but still came dead last in my class. (despite finishing overall 25 seconds late overall)

I've decided that I need to make motorsports a hobby now.

Does anybody here have an SCCA membership? Myself and a friend are getting memberships, and there's a $15 discount if someone refers us. We just need a name and SCCA member number.
